One of the best movies I've ever seen, filled with a youthful thirst for inspiration and even better... the discovery of that inspiration. Robert Sean Leonard's performance was - in a word - captivating. Ethan Hawke lends a very quiet and yet very powerful depth and sincerity to his character. Robin Williams is amazing in this movie. I will miss him greatly.

This movie is so powerful and great in every single way. Robin Willaims is at his serious best in this role and he even inspired me with this great performance. The plot was flawless and everyone really fit into their roles perfectly. Great movie to pick up life lessons that would stay with a person for the rest of their lives. The scene at the end would give me goosebumps any time I see it!

one of Robin's best i think, it pains me to know there will be no more. the movie is very moving, very realistic... lots of ups and downs.

The movie made me think about conformity vs. individualism. Should one conform to society or should one fully express oneself regardless of what society thinks? But then, does conformity necessarily mean that one can't express himself, one's feelings, wants and desires? The movie did a good job of portraying how individualsim and confomism often clash in society, but in reality, they can be mixed to some extent; one of the pillars of society is also conformism. However, I admire the movie's ability to make one think back upon one's life and wonder what would've happened if I had lived differently, or followed more the captain's words "Carpe diem."

This has got to be one of the best movies of the 1980's and of all time. The long list of outstanding talented actors along with the storyline and setting, just made Dead Poets Society stand out from all other movies of its time. They just don't write or act like they used to in my opinion.

A fantastic movie staring an actor who left us far too soon. RIP Mr. Williams, you will be sorely missed by all.

One of the greats, in my opinion. If you haven't seen it, you should. <br> "They're not that different from you, are they? Same haircuts. Full of hormones, just like you. Invincible, just like you feel. The world is their oyster. They believe they're destined for great things, just like many of you, their eyes are full of hope, just like you. Did they wait until it was too late to make from their lives even one iota of what they were capable? Because, you see gentlemen, these boys are now fertilizing daffodils. But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? - - Carpe - - hear it? - - Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary." RIP Robin Williams

beautiful movie if you are new to this movie it may have been ruined by family guy or word of mouth (just like how "box of chocolate" is ruined in forrest gump if you haven't seen the movie yet) .. SPOILER; it's not the moment of the death that got to me but the moment you see the friends mourn over their friend in the snow that yell just got to me
