Bogart, Bacall and Robinson directed by John Huston. I can't think of anything to top that. It's an amazing thriller. Bite my nails to the knuckles everytime I see it. No matter if you like classics or not... this is definitely a must see!

Best way to spend an afternoon that i know of. Never seen a Bogart, Bacall or Robinson movie that i didn't enjoy. Another of the great classic movies of all time.

Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall are amazing together! I love watching the films that they are together in. This was probably one of their best, and one of my favorites. Brilliant classic! It's a must see!

Classic gold. Lauren Bacall is a pretty lady in this masterpiece but the real art was the interaction between Humphrey Bogart and Edward Robinson. Even the side part played by the alcoholic playgirl Claire Trevor was powerful. 9/10

If the heavens opened you couldn't ask for more than Robinson and Bogart in one film.

This is simply one of the best movies of all time. The script, the environment, and how the characters play off of each other. The writing is excellent, and the way the film plays out is a study in the psychology/sociology of the times. Not everything gets neatly resolved. You have to use your imagination to figure out what comes next. It leaves you something to talk about when you and your date leave the movie theater on Saturday night. How two men can display the same emotions so differently is a mystery to me, but it is certainly a credit to their chops as actors. Powerful script, powerful performances, and strong characters. Lauren Bacall moves with a grace that is difficult to duplicate, and Bogart is the original tough guy with a heart. Edward G. Robinson is, of course, a legend. Wow. You may have to detox off of the junk we've been fed in modern cinema before you can really appreciate this film (a wind machine was big-budget special effects back then) but when you do, you'll see acting at its finest.

I loved this movie! I thought Humphrey Bogart and Kauren Bacall both did an amazing job, and they look so great together. This had an amazing storyline. MUST SEE!
