The father of movie serial killers. The real life Ed Gein inspired characters in movies like, Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw massacre, Silence of the lambs, Red Dragon, many more.

Great, quirky performance by Roberts Blossom in an okay movie, but it's like they didn't know how to end it. Fun seeing terms like "Deranged Links", "Deranged Tags", and "Deranged Comments" on the page!

A quirky outlook on Ed Gein, but I enjoyed it. I especially recommend The Ed Gein movie staring Steve Railsback. That one was the best. 4/5

I didn't like this version of Ed Gein at all. I thought it was completely different and wrong compared to all the other true crime stories I have read and watched about him. Even his personality didn't match the real Ed Gein.

This movie is from 1974. It mentions before the movie that it is true and names & locations have been changed. I can understand why they might change the names of the victims, but the killer...that was weird. They do call him Ezra Cobb in the movie, however it is about Ed Gein. Good acting. Ed was one of the very few the FBI actually believed was insane. The movie is not accurate. Special effects stink. 2/5

@ dextre, Ed Gein is the real life killer and grave robber on whom several fictional killers have been loosely based. In the 1950s he was found to have strung up a couple women like deer carcasses, and had a lot of furniture and objects made from human bones and skin, including skin covered chairs and bowls made from skulls.

Wow. What a sick, sick man. Even though this movie is an oldie, it was worth watching for the true life story of Ed Gein... As I said, very sick!
