I saw your “review” ( though I think it was more a thought) on the movie Before Sunset, which is my favorite movie of that trilogy. I really liked those movies, the story, and the dialog. Linklater is kind of known for those really long, unedited shots. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy did an amazing job with it. I couldn’t imagine having to do THAT long of a scene. Linklater also did a music video (can’t remember the artist) where the artist was walking around backstage singing and playing the guitar the entire time with production chaos going on all around him, also unedited. Philip Seymour Hoffman was his roadie following him all around during the video. Hard to believe they pulled it off. It was very cool. Sorry for your loss. I too am a widower, as cancer took my wife in 2016.
Thanks. And yes more of a thought. Any more these day’s we are just used to some of the FX. The one I see used is A birds eye view of a car on a road, Then we come all the way down in to the car with the driver. like it’s nothing. Just the trix of the movie makers to bring us in to the story. Cancer and the loss of a loved one I could go on for days about the hurt, the way you now view the world. Things for me seem to be calming down. You never get over them but OMG I now know why some say we live in a matrix. The dreams, smells, visions. Some guy in a plaid jacket. Cant tell you how many time I have thought someone was a lil crazy but now I know. I come home and smell her chili recipe. And I no longer live in the same house.
