Why Are There Listings, But NO Links?
.
.
This is easily one of the most frequently asked questions here at Primewire.
.
Reading the Navigating Primewire tutorial is recommended, as it will provide insights on the structure of the Primewire Listing Framework itself.
.
Regarding Links, Primewire relies upon outside Hosts to offer Program Links here free of charge. There are a couple of things that can happen at the Host site, which can negatively impact Primewore’s ability to provide Links.
(1) A Host site may close down for economic reasons or government pressure. This renders all of the Links connected to them effectively “dead.”
(2) Hosts also periodically purge their databases of Programs that are not often accessed or have been reported to DMCA.
In either case, Primewire must delete or “scrub” all “Dead” Links from the Primewire Database until new ones can be located and replaced.
.
NOTE: As of February 16th 2020, Primewire lost 4 Hosts within the same amount of months.
.
Fortunately, Primewire has an excellent Content Team who work tirelessly to maintain current programming demands, while restoring “Dead” Links.
There are also many Members here, who readily volunteer their time and energy to scour the internet, looking for uploaded Programs.
And still others, who upload Programs to Hosts, then Link them to Primewire.
.
All this is an extremely time consuming, painstakingly arduous process, done in order to provide Primewire’s Members access to hundreds of thousands of Programs for free.
.
For example, every Link for every Episode of every Season of a TV Show, must first be uploaded to an internet Host by someone, located by our Content Team and/or Members, who then submit a request for it to be added to Primewire’s Database.
.
.
How Can You Help?
.
In order to maintain the integrity of Primewire’s Database, our Content Team need your support to notify them of any Missing Links.
.
If you find a Listing that has NO LINKS, you should visit the Forum’s Front Desk Thread to Request them.
You can access that HERE.
For your convenience, there is now a NO Links Message as shown:
PW-NO Links Message
Which includes a Quick Link to the Request Thread.

~The Content Team Does NOT Monitor Comments for Requests~
.
.
In summation, I hope this helps you better navigate our ever-expanding world.

Why Are There Listings And No Links

Prime wire uses a template system for our pages. We use the template for our database so that as shows/episodes become available there is already a slot here for the linkers to add them.

All tv shows and episodes come from the site TVMaze. They have a database with listings of all shows and episodes ever made, plus future episodes yet to air.

The same template method is used for movies listed here, except that our template/database for movies is provided by the Internet Movie Database,(IMDb).

Primewire site bots scrape those databases continuously for “new” listings.

Unfortunately not all shows are available for listed shows. Our linkers and Content Mods try very hard to find shows/movies that are requested in the proper channels, (see request threads in the forums here: https://www.primewire.li/forum/thread/5?id=5&page=248). There are limits to the availability of shows.

Yes, YKJack, while your information has merits, these points were already covered in the main informational guide as indicated in my preface above:
“Reading the Navigating Primewire tutorial is recommended, as it will provide insights on the structure of the Primewire Listing Framework itself.”
.
And again respectfully, as this is intended to be only an Instructional Guide and not a Discussion Thread,

PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY REPLIES HERE
