WELCOME TO PRIMEWIRE!
.
PW TOP BANNER
.
Navigating Primewire to locate something to Watch, can seem overwhelming, considering we are rebuilding our Database at amazingly breakneck speeds.
.
.
PRIMEWIRE DATABASE
.
The core of the Primewire Database is the Program “Template”, which structures all the pertinent data needed for each Program Listing into an easy to read format. To fill in the Template, Primewire uses information gathered from outside media sources such as IMDb and TVMaze. This is an ongoing process as new Program Listing information is constantly being gathered from these sources and updated here shortly thereafter.
.
The key thing to remember here, is that Primewire is only a Referral Service for Program Listings. Primewire merely provides Links to Host Sites where the actual Programs reside. So, once we have the information about a Program Listing, the Links then have to be manually added - one at a time. This is a painstakingly time-intensive process. Primewire has a Content Team and many other generous Users, all unpaid volunteers, dedicated to getting Links to fill in those empty Slots as soon as possible. Even still, there are many Program Listings with No Links yet. Patience, understanding, and assistance are essential to our continued growth. See the section on Missing Links below.

.
Essentially, The Primewire Database is broken into Two Sections: Movies and TV Shows.
.
.
THE MOVIE SECTION
.
PW Featured Movies
.
The Featured Movies are strictly for movies that were widely released in Theaters and introduced here as an HDCAM Version. The most recent 6 are shown on the Top.

If someone wants to see further back, they can Click on the Section Title: Featured Movies. There, they will see ONLY Featured Movies at 24 films per page in Most Recently Added Order (the Default).

They can also limit or rearrange the list using the Search Bar. See more about that HERE.
.
Below Featured Movies are ALL Movies Just Added. This subsection also contains 24 Movies per page. They can also peruse either by page or they can also limit or rearrange the list using the Search Bar. See more about that HERE.
.
.
THE TV SHOWS SECTION
.
PW Latest TV Shows
.
Similarly, TV Shows are shown in the same manner. The Latest TV Shows To Air is for Currently Running
programs only. Everything else is lumped into TV Shows Just Added. All the same options apply as in the Movie Section outlined above.
.
.
MORE SECTIONS
.
To facilitate faster browsing, More Sections, offers preset categories, displaying the most recent 8 Programs of the following:

PW Featured Movies
~Same as Described Above.
PW New Movies
~Most Recently Released Movies
PW RECENTLY ADDED OLD MOVIES
~Movies Released Before 1980.
PW Latest TV Shows
~Same as Described Above.
PW Recent Series Premieres
~Brand New TV Shows That Have Debuted
PW Recently Returned Shows
~Currently Running TV Shows Starting A New Season.
.
Just as described above, Clicking on the corresponding Section Title will open a Normal 4 by 6 Program Display Page.
From there, one can either browse manually or use the Search Bar to fine tune the results. See more about that HERE.
.
.
JUST ADDED PROGRAMS
.
PW Movies Just Added
.
PW TV Shows Just Added
.
The order in which the Just Added entries appear under Featured Movies/Latest TV Shows on that corresponding First Page are governed by two rules.
.
Rule #1: New Quality Types (HDCAM,TS,HD & WEB DL,DVD,BD) for Featured Movies vs New Episodes for Latest TV Shows.
.
Rule #2: Whenever Brand New Links are added to a Movie/TV Show that previously had NO Links.
.
.
PLAYLISTS SECTION

WATCHING PROGRAMS ON PRIMEWIRE
.
PW Link Versions
Links on the Program Pages are organized by Host site according to Ranking.
Quality refers to the Program Source Material:
Low= HDCAM w/open-mic Audio
Medium= HDTS w/inline Audio, VHS or Videos below 360p resolution.
High= HD, WEB DL, DVD and BD
Version #: Allows viewing using Primewire’s Embedded Media Player.
Direct: Goes Directly to the Host Site and uses their Media Player.
.
Insights on Host sites. Host sites are located around the world, offering different levels of Streaming speeds based on the number of servers they employ, your proximity to them and your internet connection. Trial and error is recommended to find the best Host(s) that work for you.
Streaming issues. There may still be times when Video Playback stalls, or stutters. This can happen during peak times. The best remedy is to allow the Video to buffer by pressing Pause once the Program begins and waiting a few minutes before resuming. If that fails, select another Host site and try again. Downloading the Program for viewing offline is another option where available.
Link Issues. If you you experience one of these problems with a Link: Video has been Deleted~Wrong Video~Audio out of sync~Conversion Error~Other, you should use the Report Link option, so our Content Team can remove it. For more on this, see BAD LINKS below.
.
.
GROWING PAINS

The most important thing to remember is that we collectively are rebuilding our once vast Database. On peak days, I have seen 4-5 Movie pages added in just in just as many hours. As such, immediate visibility to these New Entries can seem buried in the process. However, each one of us still has some Very Important Tools to help find suitable programming : Comments, Voting, and Rating.
.
.
COMMENTS
.
PW Comments Section
.
As shown above, the Comments Area is divided into 3 Tabs:
.
~Discussion Tab - For general remarks. This is the Default.
If you see something you like, feel free to share it for behalf of others.
.
~Reviews Tab - For Reviewing the Program.
Use the “Review” Checkbox to Select.
.
~Link Discussion Tab -For specific information regarding the Links.
Use the “About Links” Checkbox to Select.
See below regarding Bad or Missing Links.
.
~Spoilers - Regardless of which Tab you Comment in, please mindful to not provide spoilers without using the “Contains Spoilers” Checkbox.
.
~Editing & Deleting Comments - Once created, you can Modify or Delete your Comment. The “Edit” Function also allows you move your Comment to another Tab or Hide unintentional Spoilers.
.
~Comments Guideline - Please remember this is a family-friendly community site, so please use polite language and be respectful of others opinions.
.
.
VOTING
PW Voting
Please use your Voting ability!
Each Member is allowed One Vote per Comment.
If you see a Comment that is really helpful, UPVOTE it and leave your own comment.
The more collective UPVOTES for a Comment, the more visible it is on the Sidebar Top Comments and on the Program’s Comment subsection.
.
.
RATING
PW Star Rating
Primewire has a Five-Point Rating System. Ranking is from One Star (extremely disliked) to Five Stars (extremely liked). You can Rate Programs and Hosts.
.
~Programs - Independent from IMDb or TVMaze Ratings, Primewire Ratings are located under the Program Poster and accessible on each Program Page. Ranking a Program is important as it provides valuable information utilized by both other Users and the Primewire Search Bar in locating suitable programming.
.
~Hosts - Ranking the Host sites Primewire uses to store and access Programs is also important as it helps determine which Hosts are more consistent, reliable and fast for the User. Primewire offers an assortment of Approved Hosts to allow Users to determine which one(s) work best based upon their geographical location and computer settings.
.
.
.
LINKS
.
As Primewire merely serves as an index of Host Sites which contain Programs, Primewire only offers Links to those Hosts in its Listings.
One of the most commonly asked questions becomes:
“Why are there Listings, but NO Links?”
The answer to that question can be found HERE.
.
.
ADULT MATERIAL
PW Adult Material
Some Programs listed on Primewire may contain Adult Material.
You can find out more HERE.
.
.
MISSING LINKS
.
If you find a Listing that has NO LINKS, you should visit the Forum’s Front Desk Thread to Request them.
You can access that HERE.
For your convenience, there is now a NO Links Message as shown:
PW-NO Links Message
Which includes a Quick Link to the Request Thread.

~The Content Team Does NOT Monitor Comments for Requests~
.
.
BAD LINKS
.
If you you experience one of these problems with a Link: Video has been Deleted~Wrong Video~Audio out of sync~Conversion Error~Other, you should use the Report Link option (see below), so our Content Team can remove it. This is extremely helpful to keeping our Database clean and you can even earn points while you are at it!
PW-Report Link
.
The Report Link Option is on the Right-Hand Side of Each Host Link.
Simply click it and the Pop-Up appears as shown above. Simply, select the Category, perhaps add a Comment, then Submit. It’s that easy!
.
For multiple Bad Links, you need only fill out the details ONCE!
The system retains all the information and carries it forward!

.
.
SUBMITTING LINKS
