Lesson is, don’t be an a*hole, and if you are in a moment of weakness, apologize if given the opportunity. There are crazies out there who can’t be reasoned with. That girl was a cnt, and continued to be even after given a chance to rectify it. Good on fatty dude.

Trish3809 1 points 1 month ago.

lol, come on…ppl need to know when to just move on but in some ways your right, I feel ya.

The Birds (1963)

stupid bad filming although classic for 63. like all the birds are fake as heck. This flick gave me nightmares as a little kid, for sure. We didn’t know any better like todays cgi etc.

Agreed. This was fixed. The 11 year old should have won. Anyone but him. Who in the world would pay to see that on vegas? id be asleep in 10 min. Wont watch it again.

Trish3809 0 points 1 month ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I know! I’d be snoring or highly distracted like I was during any of it. I kept FF thru his crap as I wasn’t even remotely interested. I don’t know about which 11 yr old, I was all for the black lady with the little kid. Well, anything but what actually happened. I’m boycotting this show over this. I almost broke my laptop, lol.

I keep wishing I didn’t see what I just saw. What a joke. puke on this show. Won’t watch it further. Don’t know how else to express my dislike without raging.

I like it too…it’s as if someone is giving you life lessons w/out actually tossing them in yer face. The writing is excellent. Nice show, I like it…a lot.

An American Pickle (2020)
Trish3809 1 points 2 months ago.

Well, what a pickle. This was utterly odd! I didn’t mind it but it was pretty silly. All in all okay for a one time. Just weird - a pickle feud. LOL, now that I think about it, it’s hilarious.

Unhinged (2020)
Trish3809 1 points 2 months ago*.

omg, really. Okay, once I watched again when better version it wasn’t so bad…but The movie ‘Falling Down’ was way better acted and developed IMO.

I don’t even know what the problem was other than “unstable”. Listen, don’t lay on your horn. I hate when ppl do that, it’s annoying but I’m not about to stalk them over it but you never know who might. I suppose this is actually plausible, just ask my family in Denver. I dunno, it just seemed way overacted to begin with but again, you just don’t know whom your dealing with any longer.

The War with Grandpa (2020)
Trish3809 3 points 2 months ago.

I watched this a few weeks ago and forgot about it. But I still remember it enough for a short review. I personally don’t find De Niro a good fit for comedy but he tries. The movie was okay although I don’t think I laughed once. I think it’s okay for the younger mind set to learn something as in, us older folks aren’t pushovers and the old ways are not always obsolete. That’s my take on it. Old school vs new millennium brain games in a silly battle to begin with over a bedroom. That alone was somewhat a ‘meh’ for myself.

PEN15 (2019) S2 E2
Trish3809 1 points 2 months ago.

This ep at the end had me cracking up, so hard. The entire show is a bit odd but watching them check out their bushes was pretty hilarious. Then after the end the graphics were nutz. WTH?

Stay Woke: The Black Lives Matter Movement (2016)
somniloquist 6 points 2 months ago.

Pretty sure that’s why there’s a reviews section versus a discussion section. You, my friend, are looking at a discussion.

Trish3809 2 points 2 months ago.

This has nothing to do with anything but thanks for pointing this out. I wasn’t paying attn and didn’t notice the differing sections or tabs up top. I was of the mind this was for show/movie comments like prior the PW crash. It’s changed and I was all lahlahlah, lol. Thanks for making me ‘woke’. 😏

Green Book (2018)
armeek 1 points 1 year ago.

✴ Mortensen and Ali both give fabulous performances in this feel good road-trip drama that’s part buddy comedy, part history lesson, and part social commentary on friendship and race…When Tony Lip, a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx, is hired to drive Dr. Don Shirley, a world class black pianist, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South, they must rely on The Green Book to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans. Confronted with racism, danger as well as unexpected humanity and humor they are forced to set aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime. This based on a true story film is an unexpected surprise. Few films are able to combine compelling drama and comedy without stretching one genre or the other…..Really well done, one of my favorite films of all time…. ✴Thank You Link Team.

Trish3809 1 points 3 months ago.

Deep Blue Sea 3 (2020)
djmaxim1981 0 points 4 months ago.

omg this movie is soooooooooooo stupid! pls dont waste your time.

Trish3809 0 points 3 months ago.

right? the acting was horrific as well. And I did go vacuum the carpet while this was playing. Didn’t miss a thing. The first one was watchable especially with the bird and LL Cool J but I never saw the 2nd. Now that we are all stuck at home I gave this a go. ugh. Well, it is a time waster and I’ve got time to waste on better things. good grief.

Places in the Heart (1984)
Trish3809 2 points 5 months ago.

This is a review, not a comment. I love love this movie. With Sally Fields, Danny Glover, John Malkovich…come on. Its from 84 but seriously..this is probably the best flick I’ve ever watched. Drama, a bit of thriller, a tad comedy. When the tornado came - to me that was done really well and it freaked me out. I’ve been involved in them in IL as a kid where it seemed it would rip your hair off. No joke. Scary shit man. We had a basement we got thrown into, not a tornado bunker like this movie but I get it. A bit before my time.

I liked that they showed even back then that a woman had the grit to say ‘fuck you’ to the other men trying to rip her off. Thanks to Moses but he got run off for helping her. A time period where you could drag a dead black man behind your truck and nobody says shit about it. Wow. Just think about how they lived back then.

I have nothing neg to say about this movie. Even the color is spot on in certain shots. It shifts from time to time. I have a hard time thinking anyone under 40 will appreciate this film and I’m 61. I do not want to be some weird ageist. I don’t believe this movie was meant to be racist or anything like that. Just showed how it was in that period of time. Awful.

You Should Have Left (2020)
Trish3809 2 points 5 months ago*.

That was weird. Took me a few tries as a kept nodding off. IDK if I recommend or not but it’s something new to watch when not much is coming out at this time. I always like Kevin Bacon, but this one was a tad monotonous. More of a psychological thriller I suppose. Maybe it’s better if yer stoned.

In the Dark (2019) S2 E10

Yeah I was ready to give up on this, this ep was cray cray. Now I’m back into it.

Just Mercy (2020)
Trish3809 1 points 7 months ago*.

To me this is what I would call a ‘drama’ movie. I liked it very much. Took me a little bit to get into but once I did I was all in. Thanks linkers. I’d defo watch again at some point. Great acting all around.

The Hunt (2020)
Trish3809 1 points 7 months ago.

I thought this was quite hilarious. What’s her name…betty gilpin, HOLY cats! I found her hugely entertaining in this low rent flick. I thought I’d be really critical of this but I’m not. Lets see…kept my attn, check…made me laugh, check….had me jump a few times, check. Made sense…not so much but I’m okay with it. What a bad ass she played! I think if your on the fence…give it a shot. Nothing stellar but not awful either. Peace out.

Breaking Bad (2008) S5 E16
Trish3809 1 points 9 months ago.

Ya gotta watch this b4 El Comino people. It makes total sense with Aaron Paul screaming his head off to start that movie. Wow, that poor guy. Walt sorta set him free before we got to hear the special love I have for you. old tunes, awesome

The Call of the Wild (2020)
Trish3809 1 points 9 months ago*.

yes, the quality is unreal for a cam (or TS at this point). Great movie if you like dog flicks. Made me cry a little bit as well. Good role for Harrison at his age. Seriously, he was his normal crusty self which was, I think, necessary for this movie.

um do we know the names of the other doggies?

Odd Thomas (2013)
Trent 5 points 9 months ago.

If you haven’t seen this movie then you are really missing out!

Trish3809 4 points 9 months ago*.

Good adaptation from the Koontz series of this character. I read all the ‘Odd’ books and know the character inside out. This particular movie is better than many (not all) S King novels that have been disappointing. However, this flick wasn’t promoted right or something. Peace to Yelchin that played ‘Odd Thomas’. I’m going to re-watch because I caught a comment. Nice movie.

My Kitchen Rules (2010) S11 E13

Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
Trish3809 0 points 10 months ago.

okay, I waited for good copy and subs. Although it felt dragged out here and there…holy cats that last 30 minutes is something else! I was totally okay with this movie and glad to have watched. I give it 8 out of 10. I also feel a good way to end this Rambo series of flicks.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019)
Trish3809 -1 points 10 months ago.

Pretty cool. I liked it. I think I liked all the CGI, etc. more then the actual story. Kept my attention though. I waited for DVD quality and wasn’t disappointed. Another one for my list of ‘movies I didn’t fall asleep watching’. Maybe I should put together a playlist on that, lol. This beat ‘The Lighthouse’ hands down.

Child's Play (2019)
Trish3809 0 points 1 year ago*.

Dang, I normally don’t feel like commenting but this movie was totally entertaining. I was thinking…really? The original was about that Chucky doll being possessed. And that original can’t really be beat on that premise.

This appears to be about a doll that got a crappy micro chip embedded and goes bonkers or has the mind that if you say it…Imma gonna do it, lol. What a weird different spin. I tried watching this when lame Cam version (gave up on that) so I was so happy to finally see it in a a clear version. Pretty cool fun flick. I liked it, creepy blue (then red) eyes and all that.

After Life (2019)
Trish3809 4 points 1 year ago.

Best show I’ve watched in a LONG time! Loved it. I wasn’t aware until a family member mentioned this to me. Made me laugh/cry, get mad and happy all at once. I don’t know why someone gave 1 star which was the rating when I took a look. It’s a great watch. Especially if you are of a more mature nature and struggle with what’s the point, etc. Gervais is a writer genius. 5 stars!

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Trish3809 1 points 1 year ago.

Yep 5 stars. Rami was kind of over the top if I might say so. Otherwise, cool flick. I had no idea and I was a Queen fan and always will be. I hated the partridge family and all that bubblegum shite. Rock out was my style. I watched the ‘live Aid’ Queen last performance on youtube. Awesome to check it out once you view this movie. That dude was a performer….for sure. I hope he died a happy man. I still have a cassette tape of theirs. I have nothing to play it on. Boo

Killer Night Shift (2018)
BellaMia1 1 points 1 year ago.

Watching this movie was tedious. Once again, we got mostly loud sounds substituting for real scare. A plot that was all over the place, and unoriginal. I was bored, and lost interesting quickly. A miss for me.

Trish3809 -1 points 1 year ago.

Thanks. I was on the fence with this. I will take a pass

The Old Man & the Gun (2018)
Trish3809 0 points 1 year ago.

Was somewhat interesting but a bit dull. I suppose I expected more. Not bad but nothing to get excited about in my op. Sort of paint by numbers and not much character development. Good for a one time if your bored.

Green Book (2018)
Trish3809 1 points 1 year ago*.

Great movie, I love watching this one.
(I’ve watched at least 5 times now) On par with ‘The Help’ as far as acting and the times, etc. yet quite different. I was cracking up one minute and then tears in my eyes soon after. Quiet yet eloquent flick. The BEST. Viggo was a crack up and great in his character role. Thanks linker’s appreciate it. I can only imagine a book listing where racists are not allowed, eeeeeek.

Bird Box (2018)
Trish3809 0 points 1 year ago.

Bizarre flick. Big plot holes but I liked it anyway. Kept me engaged and that’s a big plus for me. Thanks for the links

Escape at Dannemora (2018)
Trish3809 1 points 1 year ago.

I really like this series. I just watched the documentary regarding the real players. This is pretty spot on so far. They had Patricia Arquette looking almost like ‘Tilly’. Uncanny. Glasses, hairstyle, etc. I’m on part 5 and so far have enjoyed this. Great acting.

Thanks for links, appreciate it
