Had so much fun watching this, revives the whole possessed toy theme. Benny was great and the story was silly but plays on it to add to comedy.
I haven’t seen a good UK horror comedy in awhile and this was a unique take on the Vampire lore. Good laughs and story, highly recommend.
Just finished watching whole season and it was good but pales in comparison to the many other superhero shows out. We’ve seen the whole superhero family dynamic before with similar characters of same powers. I really liked the action scenes and that it adds to comic with story opening up this Millarworld. A great watch for those who love this genre but nothing amazing we haven’t seen.
As a person who started reading the comics over 15 years ago, this was epic and the show did everything to make the story more relatable and graphic than the actual books. From the voice actors to the animation they went all out showing the strains of each characters personalities and enhancing it. If only you guys knew what is up for the coming seasons. I can’t wait to see Mark’s adventures through this!! I’m really geeked out because of how well they portrayed this series, so thanks to all involved for doing Invincible justice.
Another great DC animation starring Flash. Shows just how he’s important to the DC universe with his power. I only wish they showed more JSA members but it explained why they didn’t. Just good action and storytelling so you won’t be disappointed.
It’s rare when Hollywood makes a decent video game movie and this didn’t disappoint. I knew from the trailers that they were trying to do a faithful adaption. The costumes and fighting were on point, much better than the last Mortal Kombat movies.
I mean, this is how you do a finale and show the progression of characters. I literally had tears in my eyes with the dialogue they gave Sam, a well deserved Captain America. Was a fun ride watching to this point and stay tuned for the after credit scene.
It’s very much like John Wick which is a good thing. Just when they’re out the game people pull them back in. I like that they cast someone who looks nothing like the typical action star to do these more realistic fight scenes. You can tell the dedication Bob Odenkirk put into training and so much fun seeing Christopher Lloyd also playing a badass. It’s just a great action flick to sit back with some popcorn and enjoy.
Point blank, I loved these actors in this theme and they played it off well. A lil Equilibrium and Lord of the Flies in space was entertaining to watch.
Such a bittersweet ending to this great series and actually made me respect how realistic to life than a simple clean ending. I know we all wanted to see the queen Emma Rossum return but the flashbacks with Frank were enough. The fact that no one cared about his note and was said at end was the perfect time because Frank was shit and they should move on like the time they threw him over the bridge after he ruined Fiona’s wedding and thought he was dead after being in coma before and returning. I want the best for these characters and if you saw Hall of Shame with Frank you can believe they did better than this. Ultimately, Shameless got me through a time and relates a lot to my family in a lot of ways that always showed heart to the dirty deeds they did. Will be missed and better than the UK version, fight me about it!!!
Ben Falcone can never write a role for his wife Melissa McCarthy without making her super annoying. The story was a mess and the best parts were only the action scenes. Octavia Spencer kept it top class with her acting and this was a fun role for her. The ridiculousness of these women playing superheroes makes it funny and enough to give a one time watch at least.
This was better than expected and what fans expect from a battle between Godzilla and Kong. It really makes you root for Kong the whole time and is the best representation of him. I will say all of Millie Bobby Brown’s storyline felt super forced and not needed. They could’ve found a better way to reveal Apex secrets, but I get the added comedy and young fan appeal. If anything I’m curious to the next step of this Monsterverse and what kaiju will be the next big threat.
I remember first reading the comic in high school and excited to see Invincible finally adapted on screen. The animation is incredible and the voice actors are top notch. It goes all out with the violence and really pulls you in with the characters. I can’t wait to see what they do with the storyline as there are some changes from comics but it works for the better here.
I couldn’t think of a better way to end this series because the creators pulled out all the stops. This whole series in general was a fun ride watching and paid tribute to a lot of great Disney cartoons I grew up with. Just the big reveal between the family was enough but they had to throw in a Gargoyles reference with same voice actor. I’m just happy this isn’t really the end with the new Darkwing Duck show coming out.
This whole season was a mess, just WTF is up with the writing?? You never get any answers just new mysteries and none of it makes sense with all these storylines together. I loved the show in the beginning but it got too big for its head.
Of course this was better since they added hours more filming and had years to completely rework all the scenes at the behest of fans. Think about the fact Zack Snyder was originally the director and they wasted 100’s of millions of dollars to replace him with Joss Whedon who made it shit only for them to waste more money to do the movie right with original director. Justice League deserved better than this sloppy production and it shows how terrible DC is at their live action. All over the place with all these shows and movies in different universes with bad writing. Even this current cinematic universe is in limbo but if this is the last time we see these actors together again for the league it was well done. Great to see Darkseid and them give Jared Leto’s Joker redemption.
Such a good cast with such a meh movie. It’s not bad but the story wasn’t worth these actors and undercut their talents. Never heard of the book but it was one of the many times Hollywood has flopped an adaption of one.
For a killer pants movie they did an awesome job. Besides the obsessed manager this really isn’t an overexageration of high end retail jobs. There was a clear message that they translated well and added to the overall supernatural story. Sad ending, but funny movie if only for the murder pants.
Looks like Disney finally has their official Asian warrior princess since Mulan technically isn’t a princess. I loved everything about this from the characters, story and world. Reminded me a lot of the cartoon Avatar which is always a good thing. Also bonus points for not having any musical numbers, I couldn’t imagine Awkwafina singing anyway.
I was skeptic but ended up enjoying this sequel. It was fun and funny with a wonderful cast. Crazy that its been 30 years and everyone still looks good, black don’t crack. Did well bringing up all nostalgia of original, but I will say they played it safe with the jokes because it was more raunchy in first.
I knew to save my comment about this show till the last episode because I had so many theories being a comic nerd. I loved how they wrapped this up and set up Wanda to be in the next Doctor Strange with Monica being included with Captain Marvel. I still know that the twins will eventually be in Young Avengers so whatever adventures lead to that will be good to see them again as teens. That official costume had me on my feet, well done finale and loved all the sitcom era antics to get to this point.
I expected a movie written by Amy Poehler and classified as comedy to actually be funny. All this did was show a teeny bopper depiction of feminism that doesn’t seem realistic with our current times. All these issues they touched on are old and made the boy antagonists super cliche douchebags. It’s just a badly executed movie that fails to push it’s agenda.
I really wanted to like this and there are many good moments to point out but the story dragged most of the time. Takes itself too seriously as a horror comedy and doesn’t even show the infected most of the time. It’s mostly a drama about holding up at facility during zombie apocalypse. It’s a theme that’s been done to death literally and figuratively and not well here. In my opinion it’s worth the watch if you can deal with slow build, but very convoluted at end. Confusing review but guess I liked the kills and fun teen stuff a little too much with appreciating the well done work on film.
The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie we deserve. Shame this isn’t an adaption to game but keeping the killer Chuck E Cheese theme was fun to watch. You never know what you get with Nicolas Cage and he delivered on this crazy mysterious protagonist without saying a word. Bold choice but it worked well making it a more original horror comedy.
The best Wrong Turn will always be the first. I didn’t mind the change in the backwoods community seeing as we got a bunch of sequels on the deformed hillbillies. It just didn’t feel like apart of the series, but it was ok and kept my attention with the kills and twists.
I like Eli Roth and surprised I’m just watching this but didn’t like movie so much. Very Hostel-like making you not want to travel overseas using mix of natural disasters and savage locals this time. There were choices made with characters that left a bad taste in mouth that I couldn’t get over. I get the shock value which worked, but not for the better with drastic tone change. Had me feeling some type of way at the end with those deaths.
Bloody hell is right, this was one strange horror comedy. There’s a lot going on with the characters backstories which it had trouble juggling in the middle but worked out in end. Points for creativity with the filming and story, wouldn’t mind a sequel.
This was a riot watching, very original with fun characters. I liked how they balanced the brutality of the creatures with the innocence of the kids. Shoutout to the costume designers which really nailed this crazy story home.
My girl got me to watch this and ended up enjoying it. Thank God I never watched the cartoon because I remember the weird animation and cheesy wannabe Sailormoon transformations. She kept saying how she didn’t like the characters ethnicity changes but this much more grounded approach was good. What could go wrong seeing teen fairy school students doing magic, fighting evil and partying in between.
I’ve been hearing for over a year about this being the next big slasher and I agree. Those kills were brutal, you can tell most of the budget went into gore and it paid off. The Mask killers look was also badass along with the mythology behind him making for a good horror movie to watch. Shame not more people will see being foreign and not advertised so it’ll most likely become cult classic.
So they got a homeless orphan black lesbian ex con to replace Kate Kane, talk about signing off all the diversity boxes. It’s just weird how easily they can replace Batwoman with someone with not nearly enough fighting skills or connection to Batman. They spent all last season building up Kate’s family and now have horrible writing to explain her absence. I guess it leaves room for Ruby Rose to return if she wants in future but this show is a dumpster fire and don’t blame her for leaving.
Such a fun early tale of Batman that highlights some of the lesser known comic characters. It was well done showing how badass Batman is while still not as seasoned as his comrades. The fight choreography was so impressive to watch. Another win for DC’s animated films.
Pixar makes great films but I hate they made this story for a kids movie. Don’t get me wrong because this was good, but c’mon an old jazz music teacher going through midlife crisis and pretty much dies before realizing dream is a weird sales pitch for kids. Kept thinking story would’ve worked better if they made this live action or just had the human world be real. I work in animation and appreciate the work done, but the characters and topic is not something that connects with the target audience. It’s risky they chose this because it’s going to be hard for Disney to merchandise with toys and such.
How did Lord come off like Trump? I didnt get that at all. I thought he played it over the top and entirely too cheezy, like he was a caricature of a character. No depth at all. I liked Cheetah better than Lord.
How did he not come off like Trump? From the hair, business failing, being called loser and not accepting it, dealings with foreign countries and government, the Wall scene…
Not as good as the first, but it really tried. My main problem are the villains since Maxwell Lord came off too much like Trump and couldn’t take Cheetah’s character seriously. They did try to up the action scenes for better or worse. Don’t get me started on the “flying” with Thor meets Spiderman style.
Touching story with a good twist ending but I did fall asleep watching and had to just finish. It’s still well acted and filmed, not the worst space drama I’ve seen.
This show is sick, going on my list of top favorite horror series. Love the characters with their backstories and these crazy mutant monsters. I’m bingewatching right now and can’t get enough.
Perfect season finale, this is the best thing to happen to Star Wars since Disney bought it. Really pays tribute to a lot of the characters within the universe and they need to keep this creative writing team for all the Star Wars series coming out on Disney Plus. May the force be with Grogu and hopefully down the line we’ll see his badass grown self.
I can’t believe they made a trilogy off Skyline because I keep forgetting this series exists. I just realized that I watched the 2nd and surprised they squeezed out a third turd. It’s a decent sci-fi action flick to kill time though.
Such a beautifully made film, it’s like watching moving art from an old fairy tale book. Love this creative old Irish wolf folktale, could see this winning some awards.
I really liked the direction they took the story making it a more original superhero movie. Enjoyed the added animation in parts. The gritty setting and characters were portrayed well. It kept me guessing if what Max was saying was true, a delusion, a tweaked version of truth, or a complete lie. The ending was worth the answer.
If you’re a fan of the Monster Hunter game this will be a hugely disappointing film adaptation. Kinda feel bad they typecast Milla Jovovich in these roles and give her a bad story to work with. They should’ve focused on mainly the Monster Hunter world because adding the real world element killed this. The action was fine and some of the CGI was off but this is a bad cam quality to truly judge. Just another typical sad video game movie for me.
I don’t know why they made this show with super recycled videos that were old 10 years ago. I guess truTV needed to fill a time slot and got any willing low budget comedians who don’t mind telling the most mundane corny jokes.
Just a fun horror comedy that utilizes the cast well. If you’re a Vince Vaughn fan you won’t be disappointed. I enjoyed the silly serial killer Freaky Friday story with all the action and kills.
This was horrible, I was expecting more from Crispin Glover in a horror movie and he sorely disappointed. It takes too long for story to get going and doesn’t pay off at the end. It got boring with the stale acting and when I say this had too much white boy ass just trust me. Skip this and save yourself an hour and a half.
What a great hidden gem movie, deserves more recognition with the cast and awesome story. It was an action packed and hilarious take on this Groundhog Day concept from start to finish.
Never thought I would watch a Christmas movie with Kristen Stewart and actually enjoy it. Me and my girl loved watching this on Thanksgiving with the refreshing premise to the typical holiday film. I really felt the emotions from characters and gave me a few good chuckles.
It’s not good but not as bad as expected. I actually liked that they made fun of itself and all the crazy antics that went on in series. The direction they took with the new and old characters was fun to watch. Definitely one of those comedies to turn brain off and enjoy the absurdity with typical moral lessons in each episode.
The only comedy lies in the plot of a Santa revenge story but it really needed actual jokes. Takes itself too seriously and not enough action to compensate the drawn out scenes. This could’ve been great if they went a more slapstick route overexaggerating the characters personalities.
To be honest this was Kevin’s worst standup I’ve seen. I didn’t find the content funny and he kept repeating himself as if the punchline would be better if he exaggerated situation enough. I get it’s quarantine without too much content other than political to cover, but it really hindered his jokes.
Worth a one-time watch.
