Who Killed Jeffrey Epstein? (2020)
Canuckian -1 points 3 days ago.

oh come on…seriously? It doesn’t take two brain cells to know that this guy most DEFINITELY did NOT commit suicide LOL! I can’t believe there is even doubt about that for crying out loud.

Defending Your Life (1991)
bucro 8 points 13 days ago.

If people are not aware Brooks is the brother of Super Dave Osborne. Super Dave’s real name was Bob Einstein and he had a great comedy career. If I am not mistaken that would mean Brooks’ real name is Albert Einstein.

Canuckian 5 points 13 days ago.

I did NOT know that, and i grew up watching Super Dave back in the 80’s lol..i always loved his crazy “stunts” at the end of every episode lol..and the announcer..wasn’t that “mean” Gene Okerlund or something, the guy from WWF? I could be mistaken, i am remembering back over 30 yrs here lol..i wonder if they have episodes of Super Dave here on PW…i would enjoy the nostialgic trip down memory lane if they do lol. Thanks for the tidbit, i love little connections like that between actors..cheers bucro!

Superman & Lois (2021) S1 E2
Canuckian 1 points 1 month ago.

I had no idea until a few weeks ago that they made a Superman and Lois show…although the main two actors are the same as from the Arrowverse (Supergirl, Arrow, LoT, Flash) I am still not sure this show is in that Universe or is it a stand-alone…maybe they just like Tylers portrayal of Superman so used him for this series..anyways, all that aside, this show is a lot better than I thought it would be tbh. The production is high, CGI is top notch for a TV show and I love the direction I think they are taking it so far in regards to the main plotline. The relationship between Clark/Superman and his kids is interesting..not used to seeing Superman in that kind of role and I am interested in seeing how he does. I find myself honestly looking forward to the next episode! I know they have to have a story for the twins Jordan and Johnathan, but I sincerely hope they don’t focus overmuch on the teen drama just for the sake of having it in the show. I don’t mind if it serves a purpose and adds to the overall story/plot and furthers it along, but to put it in just to have it there, well, that is when shows start to lose me..anyways, two episodes in and I am truly enjoying this so far..hope they keep it up!

Monster Hunter (2020)
Canuckian 1 points 1 month ago.

I was hooked on the OG Monster Hunter on my PSP back in the day and this is very loosely based on that..recognized a few weapons from the game and a couple monster names but that was about it. Other than that, this was a fairly action packed creature feature from start to finish, no deep thinking involved here. A pure popcorn flick if I ever saw one. Glad I waited for DVD copy. Cheers!

Outlander (2008)
thomcat 2 points 2 months ago.

hi you might try reading “king david’s spaceship” by jerry pournelle . its a great sci fi where aliens land and fight medievil knights (and lose)

Canuckian 1 points 2 months ago.

Wow really? That sounds awesome! I am definitely going to look into that! Thank you so much for the recommendation thomcat as I am also a big reader and am always looking for the next great read lol. Cheers sir!

The Amazing Spider-Man (1977) S1 E1
Canuckian 0 points 3 months ago.

I saw this while scrolling through the shows and i just HAD to see just a few minutes of it, to see how the 70’s would make Spiderman on screen live action…I couldn’t stop watching!! LOL! It was so bad I just HAD to keep watching! Every time “Spiderman” came out, I felt like he was about to do a porn scene because they played that 70’s-80’s style porn music during Spidermans big scenes LMAO! Oh man, i haven’t had this much fun watching a show in is impossible to take this seriously, but if you like cheesy, poorly made 70’s shows with all the 70’s cliches and atmosphere, then you gotta watch at least the first episode..its an hour and a half long so long enough to get the jist and get your 70’s Spiderman fix…oh, and the Aunt May in this..omg…most ANNOYING Aunt May EVER LOL! (you’ll see what I mean!)

Blue Water, White Death (1971)
Canuckian 4 points 3 months ago.

Oh WOW!!! I have been trying to find this Documentary for AGES!! This is the Documentary that provided most of the underwater footage of the shark in Steven Spielbergs movie “JAWS”. Ron and Valerie Taylor were pioneers in the field and were the first people to ever record underwater footage of a Great White Shark. You will notice a LOT of similarities in the style of filming in this Doc and JAWS…Spielberg took a lot of inspiration for his style for filming JAWS from this amazing and ground breaking Documentary. If you love sharks as I do and you haven’t seen this yet, I highly recommend watching it. Thank you to whomever found this and added it the PW library!

Dune (2020)
Canuckian 2 points 3 months ago.

I had NO idea they were remaking this movie! The original Dune with Patrick Stewart from the 80’s is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I always felt that it needed MORE when it ended…of course, at that time I didn’t realize it was based on a series of books which I am planning on reading very soon…is J.Momoa playing Paul Atreides aka Moadib? I have a hard time seeing that for the only reason that in the beginning of the movie, Paul was just a kid, a young man..Momoa has a certain intensity that he would have to tone down a bit to play a young naive Paul. Is there any previews/trailers for this yet?

The Mandalorian (2019) S2 E8
Honest Review 2 points 4 months ago.

Well he was wearing the glove like Luke does because he lost his hand by his father. Anakin’s lightsaber was a different color too.

Canuckian 0 points 4 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Don’t forget R2D2 was with him…of course it was Luke lol..i can’t believe anyone would even doubt that, i mean, they have been talking about Alderaan being blown up by the first Death Star and the NEW Republic etc etc…i think some people just don’t pay attention lol

The Mandalorian (2019) S2 E7
Canuckian 1 points 4 months ago.

When “B.F” told the Mandalorian that they might “recognize” his face, I almost choked LOL! If ONLY they knew! LOVED it!

The Abyss (1989)
Canuckian 1 points 4 months ago.

Love this movie, This came out when James Cameron was at the height of his genius..he came out with a Trifecta of Blockbusters in a short amount of time, all Sci-fi which for me still makes him the best sci-fi Writer/Director of the 80’s/90’s easily. The Terminator, Aliens and The Abyss..what do they all have in common besides being in almost every top ten sci-fi ever list of any substance? Michael Biehn lol. Guess maybe he signed a contract with Cameron, or Cameron just really liked casting Biehn. Too bad no other director could get Biehn to act..if you have seen anything with him in it without Cameron directing, its terrible..he pretty much made only B movies afterwards and a few short run TV shows. Ed Harris and Liz Mastrantonio were both also excellent in their roles..that mini-sub scene though with the two of them..I mean damn, talk about your worst fears.
Anyways, I highly suggest this holds up better than most sci-fi that comes out now..for me, an easy 10/10.

The Mandalorian (2019) S2 E3
PonderThis 2 points 5 months ago.

Did anyone notice that Bryce Dallas Howard directed this episode? In case you don’t know who she is, she is Ron Howard’s daughter.

Canuckian 2 points 5 months ago.

Yeah she has directed a few episodes, I mentioned that back in the first season too lol. Like Father like Daughter eh?

The Tax Collector (2020)
tapwater 14 points 7 months ago.

I watched this and kept thinking it will get better but it didn’t. I couldn’t understand half of the English dialogue because of the horrible sound quality, the half that I did was atrocious. Also a good portion of it was in Spanish without subs. The action scenes were terribly choreographed. Shia did well with what he was given. The director, writers, and crew are to blame for this one.

If done right, this could have turned into a fun series.

Canuckian 6 points 5 months ago.

I was debating watching this as the premise sounds alright, but your review helped save me wasting 2 hrs of my life lol. Thanks for the great review.

Black Rain (1989)
Canuckian 1 points 5 months ago.

Absolutely love this movie, Douglas plays a total bad ass in this along with an amazing performance by Garcia. This has always been one of my favorite movies by Michael Douglas where he goes up against the Japanese “Yakuza” mafia. Bad-Ass movie with amazing performances by all..keep your eye out for a stunning Kate Capshaw as well. I will always give this movie a 10/10!

The Good Doctor (2017) S4 E1
Canuckian 1 points 5 months ago.

AWESOME!So glad this is back! Never been a big watcher of “hospital” type shows (House doesn’t count lol) but i found myself really liking this after giving it a shot back in season 1. I love the character in Shaun Murphy and i think this show is a great vehicle to show (even though this is probably a very rare case) that Autism is still greatly misunderstood and comes in many forms and levels of severity…i think they call High functioning Autistic, a “savant” so to speak. Anyways, i highly recommend this show. Can’t wait to watch the first episode of season 4 after the last seaso0ns incredibly emotional and crazy season finale. Thanks!

Hmm, you make a valid point. You are right, now i’m the hypocrite…at least i can admit it though when I slip up. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Gold Rush (2010) S11 E1
Canuckian 1 points 5 months ago.

Gonna see some big numbers this season I think! So glad we are back for another season! I hope Tony goes Bankrupt as usual and I hope Rick Ness succeeds beyond his for Parker, the kid is a sure thing, he literally is a Gold Mining Prodigy turning the 300 ounces that his grandfather Shnabel gave him all those years ago (in the 3rd season I think?) when Parker was like 17 yrs old to start his own mine and he turned it into a multi-million dollar super successful mining company..and the kid is only 25 now ffs lol..I want to see the new crew in Oregon do well too. Really looking forward to this season! Great first episode (1hr23min btw) and it really sets the stage for what’s to come this year! Thanks uploaders!

Unhinged (2020)
Invalid ID 1 points 5 months ago.

Holy Fat Russel Crowe, You think he put on weight for this or is just that…..rotund now?

Canuckian 4 points 5 months ago.

I like to think he did it for the role…though its sad to think Hollywood thinks your “average” man looks like that..anyway, remember that “Mummy” re-make that came out a couple years ago with Tom Cruise, supposed to be the start of DC’s “Dark Universe” movie series…anyways, Crowe played Hyde (as in Jekyll and Hyde) in that movie and he looked great, think and nowhere near as rough as he appeared in this flick so yeah, that leads me to believe this was all done for this role.

The Boys (2019) S2 E7
Canuckian 1 points 6 months ago*.

I absolutely cannot WAIT for next episode!! Is the next episode the season finale or do we have ten episodes this season? Either way, this show never fails to dissapoint..also, LOVE seeing so many familiar places as this is filmed downtown Toronto where I work most days. Been seeing a LOT of movie trucks moving around the downtown core lately, so maybe they are filming season 3 already? My actual workplace yard is located right across the street from NEtflix’s Toronto studios, and i see a lot of stuff going on there all the time so could be something else, but every time i see a line of studio trucks lining a street, i always look for a flag on a cape and maybe catch a glimpse of Homelander lol..anyways, Best show of the year, easily imo…can’t WAIT for more!! LOVE Stormfronts backstory! Didn’t see THAT coming at all!

Monsterland (2020)
Jhigh03 2 points 6 months ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

It takes alot for me to write a negative review on somthing and this was that bad and more. I don’t know if my expectasions were just to high for it but I understand that the showrunner was trying to portray humans as the monsters and the real threat, in the same way as the walking dead set out to do. It seemed that it was trying way to hard with some aspects of the story being so forced upon you as to not even make sense. After the first episode I was exited and ready to dig in and get my binge on but that turnrd out to be a red herring. Since this is an anthology and the order dosn’t matter all that much, I would recommend watching episode 3 or 4 first to see what you have in store for yourself and if its worty of your time. I did manage to sit through all of it, only cause of a lack of other programs to watch and because I was playing Xbox at the same time

*edited to mark for spoilers, just cause.

Thanks for the honest review Jhigh03… will take your advice ;) Cheers!

Heard about this show for a long time. Very interesting concept and sci-fi. Great warm up for Cyberpunk 2077 ;P

Canuckian 1 points 6 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I binged this about two months ago…a bit slow at first but once your committed, it picks up fast. Absolutely a fantastic watch, especially if you love all things sci-fi..can be a bit hard to follow at times due to the nature of “swapping” bodies etc. but man, I enjoyed this through and through. Enjoy!

my guess is its that chick that escaped the facility -gunna be huge finale no matter what

Canuckian 1 points 6 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

good guess, but remember “it” happened a few episodes back to someone else prior to the events of Sage Grove…when Butcher was handing over evidence to Assistant Director of the CIA or something and her mind was “blown”…so don’t think its the chick from Sage Grove..unless of course they let her out once in awhile to perform such “assassinations” maybe..? Can’t wait to find out though!

This was one of my fave movies growing up lol, forgot all about it until recently, and quite happy when i found it here…one of the things i always liked most about Prime Wire…they really do have a LOT of movies..cheers linkers!! Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) is absolutely HILARIOUS!!..imo his Kramer character from Seinfeld is just a toned down version of his character in this movie named Stanley Spudowski lol If you want an easy laugh and don’t mind zany and spoof humor, i highly suggest giving this a watch lol

The Last Vampire on Earth (2011)

“Luckily for the guy, his girlfriend has AIDS which allows him to be spared.” Wait, what?

Canuckian 1 points 7 months ago.

I love that a guy eats chicken, vomits and then is what, accused of being a vampire? Maybe the chicken was just undercooked? Damn..its like in Salem..they tie a rock to you and throw you in deep water, if you die, you are not a witch, but if you come back up, your a witch…basically your screwed either way lol..the synopsis for this “movie” is simply hilarious LOL

Bering Sea Gold (2012) S12 E17
Canuckian 1 points 7 months ago.

The Kellys are always fun to watch, they are kind of like the comedy relief of the show, but Kris Kelly really does seem to be trying his hardest to raise his family up. The father and brother would be lost without Kris as far as i’m concerned..and i STILL think the Dad is high on the “yayo” lol..i mean, he has the squiggly jaw hen he talks…anyone who has ever “dabbled” or is familiar with people who have know what i mean by wiggly jaw lol. I think Kris Kelly should take the new girl, Shauna, who has proven herself already and maybe get another person ( NOT family) and go out on his own and lets see how far his brother and Dad go without Kris there to motivate them and get shit started. Kris really would really be far better off on his own with a different crew other than his family who only seem to bring him down..but he won’t do that because he is loyal..i hope he succeeds, for his sake only. Anyways, BS Under the Ice is far more enjoyable than the summer dredging lol

Amazons (1986)
Canuckian 2 points 7 months ago.

The cover art for this movie is outstanding, painted by the amazing Boris Vallejo. This is your typical 80’s cheese, with lots of bouncing booty and bad acting lol. Again, the best thing about this movie is the cover art. LOVE Boris Vallejo. I highly recommend checking out his works if you love sci-fi fantasy art featuring scantily clad women riding Dragons and generally kicking ass lol..he did a lot of art work for Heavy Metal Magazine too if your into that ;)

Some movies must never be remade, and this one is of them. It’s classic as it is… probably the only film I’ve seen more than 10 times and each time, I learn something new.

Canuckian 1 points 8 months ago.

I too agree. One of my faves!

Black Water: Abyss (2020)
Canuckian 1 points 8 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

One time watch for me, a couple of predictable jump scares but as another comment said, the gator really wasn’t the star of this movie, the interpersonal drama was between the characters. The scenes WITH the gator could have been much better, needed more gator lol. Meh. I give it a 4/10

Deep Blue Sea 3 (2020)
Canuckian 3 points 8 months ago.

The first DBS will always e one of my faves, but this one wasn’t too bad…better than the second imo which was much more lower budget..the sharks in this looked pretty darn good! Good for a one time watch, i give this a 7/10. Just a good ole romp ‘n chomp flick lol.

The Sopranos (1999) S1 E2

I think its more that we as fans did not want it to end but I thought the ending suited the show. The truth is the ending is odd not bad, but there are no unanswered questions at least not for me.

Canuckian 2 points 9 months ago.

Thank You Infinity, appreciate that. I am halfway through season 3 atm..taking my time, watching a couple episodes a week…i am TOTALLY hooked lol, and yes, i don’t want it to end already and i am trying to drag it out as long as possible as hard as it is lol

The Possession of Michael King (2014)
Canuckian 1 points 9 months ago.

Huh, not bad, not too bad at all. Surprised this isn’t a more well known flick in this genre considering there were a few recognizable faces in it. Had a pretty decent creep factor. I have seen better, but have definitely seen much worse lol. I would give this a solid 6.5/10. Cheers all!

Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
Canuckian 5 points 10 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This has been one of my favorite movies since i was young, Steve Martin’s Sadistic-Dentist song has been stuck in my head for ages, i still hum it once in awhile and i am always using little quotes from this movie to this day lol. The “animatronics” or “mechanics” if you may for Audrey II are absolutely amazing. I used the Mixdrop link and that was when i learned that there is an actual Directors cut which has a COMPLETELY different ending than the original version that i grew up watching…a much darker ending…tbh i didn’t like it, i prefer the happy ending of the original version lol..anyways, this is still a grew movie to watch and if you are interested to know after watching The Directors cut what the ending was for the original version i grew up watching, feel free to message me..basically the Hero wins and gets the girl…the Directors cut is the exact opposite where the Plant wins and eats everybody lol…(gotta remember to click Contains Spoilers before i post this lol)

Striking Out (2017)
Alien 2 points 10 months ago.

I loved that show, too, but it’s been so long since I watched it I don’t even remember what I was upset about. And I’m still depressed about Firefly.

Canuckian 1 points 10 months ago.

LOL don’t even get me started about Firefly least they didn’t leave that on a cliffhangar like they did with Stargate Universe when they were just about to enter “The Gauntlet” lol

Striking Out (2017)
Alien 1 points 10 months ago.

Don’t you hate it when an episode ends on a cliff-hanger but there is no current plan to continue the series? Gahhhh! This was a very well made show. Smart, sexy and intriguing. I suppose there is always a chance for season 3.

P.S. Sam is a dirt bag. Like father, like son.

Canuckian 2 points 10 months ago.

Exactly what they did with Stargate Universe, one of my all time FAVORITE sci-fi shows.

The Legend of Tarzan (2016)
Canuckian 0 points 10 months ago.

Every time i watch this, i like it more and more. Some spectacular CGI and i love how they built on the “legend” of Tarzan, being somewhat more than a man, yet still a man..if you watch it, you will see what i mean. Alexander Skaarsgard was the perfect casting for this imo, and Margot Robbie as Jane..well, I’ll watch her in anything (or nothing ;) )lol. I give this an easy 10.

Pirates (1986)
Canuckian 3 points 10 months ago.

Walter Mathau’s “Captain Red” could give Johnny Depps “Jack Sparrow” a run for his money any day. Mathau plays his part BEAUTIFULLY in this classic Pirate movie. Watched this movie many times growing up and always come back to it once in awhile..was SO surprised to not only find it here, but that it had good links too! If you love a good Pirate movie, give this a go!

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Canuckian 0 points 10 months ago.

Jar-Jar Binx was the dumbest character ever created for the franchise imo. Lucas dropped the ball on that one for sure. It has been awhile since i watched these movies and now that the arc has come to an end with the last Star Wars movie, thought i might binge the entire 9 movie set. Still think the pod race scene was pretty bad-ass lol.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes (2018)
Canuckian 1 points 11 months ago.

ok so this series comes right after Dragon Ball Super and the story arc where all the universes fight for the entertainment of the ultimate being (the childlike guy, can’t remember his name) and the winning universe lives and all others get destroyed, right? I don’t know why its taking so long to get dubbed…i am DYING to watch this but i just CAN’T watch the subbed and listen to the voice actor who does Goku..i just CAN’T. Goku, probably the toughest warrior in the universe but sounds like a smurf with a cold. Dubbed Goku is waay better, and i usually don’t mind subbed stuff, but i just can’t take subbed Goku seriously lol..anyways, anyone have an idea when they might come out with a dubbed version of this newest arc?

City of Angels (1998)
Julianna 1 points 11 months ago.

I have not seen Willow but I have been hearing about it for many years! I will have to give it a go now. Smiles~

Canuckian 1 points 11 months ago. Here is a direct link to Willow Julianna ;) If you love fantasy ie. Lord of the Rings and older films like Legend with a young Tom cruise and Tim Curry as The Devil (one of the BEST costume effects i have EVER seen even to this day!) then you will love Willow…the CGI is a bit outdated (still using some Stop-motion i think with some early CGI) but it doesn’t detract whatsoever from the great story. It has remained one of my childhood faves to this day..i hope you enjoy it as much as i have over the years..

City of Angels (1998)
Julianna 1 points 11 months ago.

Again, I absolutely agree! Beautiful film! The soundtrack itself is almost a stand alone! Wonderful!

Canuckian 1 points 11 months ago.

lol, nice to meet someone who has similar appreciation for certain movies lol..saw your reply on a comment i made on Ghost and the Darkness about the Lions of Tsavo…i still to this day think that is one of the best movies of that year and one of Kilmers defining roles after Halliday, Iceman and of course, my fave, Madmartigan (have you seen the movie Willow by chance?)

Proximity (2020)

That as a female doctor who is mistaken for a nurse at least five times a day every day and whose medical and scientific opinions are regularly discredited owing to me being female I’m really tired of how people assume that brilliant doctors and scientists are male and not female, and shows like this only help perpetuate that mindset?

Canuckian 3 points 11 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

well, tbh i haven’t seen this show, i only saw your comment and assumed you were a Feminist pissed off that someone dared to make a male something better than a worm in the ground (which is the opinion most feminists have of the male species)…i can only speak for myself but i have never assumed any such thing, nor does anyone i know think that way (as far as i know) and if they did, i would have the same discussion with them. In 2020, opportunities are there for the taking. If you want it, and you have the grit, determination and intelligence to go for it, than you can have it..such as being a brilliant Doctor whether your male OR female. I don’t understand how someone can mistake a doctor for a nurse seeing that they wear very different clothes/uniforms so that right there shows that whoever mistakes such a thing is obviously not very smart/observant so i would take no offense as the words of an “ignoramus” and i would take GREAT pleasure in correcting them. Anyways, all im saying is people are gonna think what they wanna think and no TV show is going to change that. My response to your earlier comment was based on me thinking you were one of those All-Male hating Feminazis pissed off whenever a man is shown capable of being more than just whatever their opinions are of them if you know what i mean. If you are a Doctor like you claim to be, then you have earned the title of MD and rightfully so and the opinions of smaller minded people should mean little to you. Dr. Jane C. Wright, pioneer in Chemotherapy and a black woman..brilliant. Dr. Gertrude B. Elion, basically a Rockstar in MEdical Science as she bascially saved millions of children from a death sentence from Leukemia, she also created drugs which mitigated the effects of malaria, kidney stones, arthritis and gout among others…definitely brilliant…i have many lists in front of me as this thread got me curious so i did some looking and female doctors/scientists are just as responsible as an male doctor for many of the drugs/cures we have today. Anyone who assumes that only men make good doctors/scientists are not worth listening too thus anything they say can be taken with a grain of salt. I am no Doctor yet even i know that. Small minded people have narrow opinions to fit into their narrow world, therefor anything they say wouldn’t bother me. What DOES bother me though is when someone chops down the entire apple tree because of one bad apple and they just assume that they ALL must be bad or the same. That is what led me to reply to your comment, i just wanted to know what your reasoning was behind your comment. Cheers Doc.

Hoping to watch tonight! Tom Hardy was great as Bain + stretches his craft in impressive ways. Thank You PW!

Canuckian 4 points 11 months ago.

If you are a fan of Hardy as i am, if you haven’t seen it already, i highly recommend the movie “Warrior”..anyways, it also stars Joel Edgerton and Nick Nolte (imo one of the BEST outings by Nolte in a long time, he absolutely nailed it!) It is an AMAZING movie with top acting all-round. Hope you enjoy it! Cheers!

The Rookie (2018) S2 E20
Canuckian 3 points 11 months ago.

Now THAT is how you end a Season..those last 5 minutes..WOW. Just LOVE this series! Nathan Fillion is really busting out his acting chops for this one imo. Every show he is in i really like, he just brings something that i can’t quite put my finger on, but it is refreshing. Really wish they would cast him to play Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movies they are making..i know they cast Tom Holland for some reason (i think they are starting off with a young Drake) but if you’ve sen the 15 min fan film that Nathan Fillion actually paid for himself as an Audition for the role, you would understand why he is the ONLY choice to play Drake. Anyways, 10/10 for The Rookie, can’t wait to see next seasons premiere!
