I was stupid to think that I had seen the greatest of war films. Nothing compares to this one.

two thumbs up...this movie is a masterpiece...is one of the best war movies I've ever seen...the performance of the main actor, the kid, is just memorable.

This is the best war movie Ive ever seen, I could write a whole review on it, but it speaks for itself, way better than any other war movie out there, if you liked *Thin Red Line* youll think thats a distant second place to this movie, I gave it a 10/10.

Unforgetable movie. Really wonderful war film. Extremely disturbing. I haven't seen anything like this!

I think the final 20 minutes of this harrowing masterpiece, showing the even too well documented atrocities of a foul race,in those brutal years, against the rest of the world are self explanatory....if only one could rewind time you wouldn't stop at baby Adolf,as mesmerizing as that sequence is, but you would erase it all together, afterwards, when given a chance, just in case...history has the audacity of repeating itself more times than not...anyhow this is an absolutely magnificent cinematographic experience but when it was released it didn't get enough recognition(the cold war was still heavy on people's minds)...now in retrospective is a classic hidden treasure,10/10.

One of the greatest war films ever made - I have seen dozens and doznes of American, European, Asian, and Russian war films, and no other produces the effect Come and See does. A slow descent into terror and nightmare.

All war movies are quite unforgettable and Klimov's offering is no different. Sad beyond anything imaginable.

The title of the movie is "Go and see" not "Come and see"

That's right, dear. Belorussian history is depressing. The Nazis here are no worse than Nazis in all the concentration camp exploitation films. How can you compared this to Hannibal? There is no analogy whatsoever. Don't advertise your ignorance.

Its a good movie overdone on the dramatics of trauma to the boy, over the top evil nazis almost made it laughable. Alot of the belorussians/ estonia/latvians/serbs/ukraine/Caucasus/etc Collaborated with the nazi forming there own militias and culling who ever they saw fit to with little help or encouragement from the nazis so comparing these guys to the ones in the concentration camps is so not right differenet leauge all together. These guys were SS Totenkopf/Einsatzgruppen not your ordinary german soldier like the Wehrmacht .And no the nazis did not kill 25million russians alone the figure is less,Stalin killed more russians in his rain of terror than the axis powers ever did go look it up

Great war movie from Russia. The Nazis killed over 25 millions of people in USSR (about less than half military and more than half civilian). I have no idea how Dante ended up with the conclusion that they weren't actually like they are portrayed in this movie, this is being ignorant to the core. 14.21% of the USSR population died during WW2. A war is not a huge pillow fight you know. I doubt he know.

i don't want to say anything to negative about this movie, because the acting was quite good, but in fairness this movie is not near as good as Fort Brest and is typical Communist propaganda, lets face it Stalin killed three times more of his own people then Hitler killed throughout the War. I suppose whether it is Communism, Fascism, Imperialism, Republicanism, even Capitalism you will always find the same kind of people just wearing different badges

I'm no psychologist, but I think that kid's going to have a little post-traumatic stress later on in life. 4 - 5
