I don't know why but I can never get into these so called "masterpiece" movies. Maybe they're too artsy for me or maybe they're just not my thing for whatever reason. They say this and Edward Scissorhands are Burton's best movies but I don't really like either of them, I'm not saying they're bad movies, just not my thing.

Hahaha, brilliant film about the making of what is often cited as the worst film ever to be made. A tip of the hat to the entire cast with special mention going to Johnny Depp as director/writer/cross-dresser Ed Wood, Martin Landau as an excellent Bela Lugosi and Bill Murray's hilarious portrayal of Bunny Breckinridge. A must see. 5/5

I love this movie, because it is not only well made, well acted and extremely entertaining, but it also genuinely pays homage to a truly unique character, and to all of those with the need to create. If passion, dedication, belief in his dreams and sheer determination to get his visions out there guaranteed widespread success, then Ed Wood should have been granted the recognition in his lifetime that he so craved. You can't help but admire someone who is so driven to create. He may not have been a success in the mainstream sense in his lifetime, but the fact that he achieved what he did under the often seemingly insurmountable circumstances he worked under and revelled in who he was... well, in my book, he was a success. If he'd been born in this day and age, where you can make your visions and creations come to life on a much lower budget courtesy of digital video, home editing etc, and where, if nowhere else, make it available to billions on sites like youtube... imagine what he may have achieved? This is a very watch-able and entertaining flick that is superbly made and acted and I highly recommend it. It's quirky, fun, and very uplifting. Tim Burton did a wonderful job, as did all the cast and crew.

I think Tim Burton might be the one and only director to be able to make a very nice and loving homage to the worst director of all time. I loved the black and white filter and all the characters but mostly love that it is based on real people. The cast was awesome. Martin Landau made a perfect Bela Lugosi.

I loved this movie. It was great to see Mr. Wood never give up on his dreams, but also he seemed to be a nice guy. He helped Bela through the rough times when he didn't have anyone.

A movie about someone who didn't want to give up his dreams. It's a shame Ed Wood could only chased those dreams and never reached ...but this movie is a fair commemoration of him, and Bela Lugosi. This movie is superb on every level.

This was such a great watch - I love how it was set up like an older movie. Martin Landau was brilliant in his role, as was Johnny Depp (well that's just inevitable, really). Not the ultimate best Tim Burton movie but certainly one of the most overlooked. 5/5

This is one Tim Burton and Johnny Depp film that took me by surprise. It is so different than any of the other films they have made.To be honest for me it wasn't one of my favorite Tim Burton films , Johnny Depp played the roll of Ed Wood exceptionally. he has a gift that most would die for especially in the film industry, and that is the ability to become one with the person you are portraying. For all intents and purposes a great actor is that person he is portraying for as long as it takes to make the movie, and Johnny Depp did just that .,as well as Martin Landau, they were both outstanding in their performances. That being said and as I previously stated that this was not one of my favorite Tim Burton films regardless I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was well written and well cast. 7/10
