From the opening scene with Vangelis score right through, this is one of the iconic movies of all time. Smart, beautiful, dark, imaginative, apocalyptic are just a few words too describe this cinematic masterpiece. Wonderful, wonderful film.....

What can you say? This film is an absolute masterpiece. Dark and cynical, with a study of how love knows no boundaries. Ridley Scott at his finest. I only hope the remake can provide even half as much entertainment. In the end, it was Rutger Hauer who stole the entire film. 10/10

Funny that the scifi genre was in effect made in the 80s. There have been very few films that are as complex and interweaving as this one is. A must watch if you enjoy scifi, and appreciate existentialism. CLASSIC.

An amazing sci-fi that challenges what it means to be "human". There's more to the storyline than meets the eye, there are parts in the movie that are there to provoke thought and are left open to interpretation, if you know what to look for. It's a great film and the mixed reviews are understandable as you can only really connect and enjoy the pacing of the movie if you see the subtle messages within it. But nobody deny the quality of the visuals sound and acting which are second to non. A welcome break from the typical all action sci-fi if you ask me.

this movie was well ahead of its time and incredibly intricate. very powerful it was. not for the mundane nor the non-thinker. it is one that you will watch more than once to obtain the meaning of certain events. exceptional film from 1982. 4/5

Although this movie was made in 1982 it still stands the test of time. Special effects and cinematography are top notch. An exploration of what it means to be human. This is by far the best science fiction movie ever made. A very thought-provoking film. Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer have a great dichotomy in this film. 5/5 10/10 all the way. In my top 3 favorite films of all time!

Love this movie, A favorite for sure More of a fan of the Final Cut(2007) sense its more true to R.Scotts Original vision. Considering there's like 8 different versions of this movie, (main 3 being U.s theatrical release, Directors cut[which wasn't a real directors cut] and then the Final Cut[my preference.]) Its a Great look at what it means to be Human and quite the epic story when all is said and done. So its Time for another rewatch before the sequel hits the bigscreen. Which I had doubts about but considering who the Director is Denis Villeneuve(known for Prisoners, Enemy, and Arrival etc..) as well as the original screenwriters are on board. I have a feeling it will fit nicely and not be a major disappointment after seeing the 3 short films he had others make to tie the original to the sequel. 2019-2049

Ridley Scott can make nothing that is completely wrong, but he can certainly get them 100% correct! It was wonderful to watch these talented actors when they were 31 years younger than now and for myself, the movie is better than ever, but I seldom proclaim anything (not food, a book, a song, a movie, etc.) to be the best. Something better, even if only an ending, some part, will come along that is better in some way - there is so much that is outstanding in the world - great & terrible. I like another viewers comment that, "this is one of the iconic movies of all time" - right on! The fiction certainly comes through on the dates - with 2019 only 6 years away we won't be seeing flying autos, colonizing planets nor advanced androids - with trillions in debt, numerous ongoing wars, scientists demanding it's necessary to spend billions on climate change before testing common sense alternatives and a barely functioning government it would be amazing to see these things come to pass within 100 years - darn!

Brilliant, love this vision of the future, almost exact opposite of Star Trek. Dirty, gritty, smokey, constant rain etc. More or less based on the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" 5/5.

A work of cinematic genius,Ridley Scot at his most creative with an intelligent thought provoking visually stunning film. Not an action sci fi its way more than that, the dystopian backdrop provided by the futurescape of the city has perhaps only been equaled in impact by the equally innovative and groundbreaking Metropolis, directed by Fritz Lang in 1927. The film is asking questions about humanity itself and what it is to be human within the very simple narrative of a detective noir, it succeeds superbly and for the viewer willing to give time and attention it is a rewarding experience. This film was made in 1982 , there is no cgi used for special effects and when you see the quality on the screen it is even more impressive, Transformers this is definitly not.

This was good.. Good message.. Very similar concept to Battlesstar Galactica.. Without the heavy "religious" stuff behind it.. I appreciate it for the deep philosophical message, and it being well made.. Although I don't think it's amazing like many people in the comments think though.. I guess I would have to watch it again to really grasp it.. Or just sleep on it.. LOL..

I really loved the 80s scifi music, but I could not get into this movie AT ALL. Everyone kept raving about this movie, but it didnt do anything for me. I honestly dont know why this would be considered a classic...

The original title is: "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" R Scott, the Maestro, delivers a look (darkly) into a question which we are about to face (2015) "AI". But here we do not philosophize, we look as a simple, though conflicted, man...thru a lens. This is the marker of the genre. 5/5
