Great performances from Stahl and Robb. Also, one of Hopper's final films. 8/10

This is a quiet, depressing movie about the struggle of living, adapting to change, accepting you're life... not a bad movie at all. The acting was convincing for all of the roles. Denise Hopper scared me... I'd hate that in my life. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

OMG!! Nick Stahl is fantastic. He is just getting better and better as he is growing older. Great story exploring the backbone of U.S.A, it's farmers and laborers and misfits. With a father like that, you are set up to be an emotional cripple for the rest of one's natural born life. Even without the name calling, verbal humiliation causes permanent inner scarring long after the physical bruises have healed ...like a friend I know.
