this movie is beyond brilliant. the way Hopkins played Lecter and Foster played Starling were perfect. i can't believe some of the stuff Hopkins did in this movie. not to forget Levine, that dude was weird. 10/10

Immaculate performances all around. This movie was the pinnacle of its genre, i only wish movies today could capture its raw intensity, or its stellar brilliance.

I must say, reading this book at age 10 was much scarier than watching this movie now; a decade later.

An incredibly brilliant film! I cannot believe that it has taken me this long to watch it, I really enjoyed it. They certainly don't make films like this anymore.

I always forget how much i love this movie. Anthony Hopkins has to be one of my favorite actors (mainly because he's from down the road from me) But also because he is so diverse. Jodie foster give a tremendous performance. I do enjoy Hannibal and red dragon too! All time classic!

A most diabolical crime thriller to entertain many generations to come. This is beyond a one time watch. Should be viewed every Halloween and at Quantico for study and entertainment. Enjoy your bloody popcorn......

The ending of this film is brilliant. At least, from a male's perspective. The night vision tinted first-person sequence is surely one of the great statements on voyeurism. Jodie Foster is beautiful, sexy, and vulnerable as she swipes and stumbles through the dark. We have been ogling her the entire film and we ogle her now, except for one major difference: we now share our view with that of Buffalo Bill.

A creepy crime drama classic! Not a single boring moment, thrills and chills from start to finish, and perfect performances. And, this is one of the few examples of a movie being better than the book...
