is looking after things so bad or hard? seems most people would rather slag this off and bad mouth the presenter and carry on regardless . money can still be made and you can still have cars and all the others stuff , but what powers them has to change. or is change so scary that you pull your head in , shout abuse and resist.

Everyone here posting comments on how it is a load of crap, are the people Al Gore is talking about : ignorant and selfish, more interested in your nice cars than saving the earth for our children. By chance are you all american ?

I don't get all the hate for Al Gore. Do absolutely none of you people care about global warming? I mean come on, is sitting behind a computer screen typing away really helping our environment? Try to ignore the hate that you have for Al and actually listen to what he trying to say for God's sake.

A conservative Washington D.C. think tank, and a Republican member of Congress, among others, have claimed that Gore has a conflict-of-interest for advocating for taxpayer subsidies of green-energy technologies in which he has a personal investment. The irony in these claims by the Conservative Washington D.C. think tank is that itself are accused of being in the pocket of Oil corporations, and Exxon Mobile that gets taxpayer subsidies for oil lobbying for Oil. One of the interesting things in the movie. If you notice Bush comes in office, he picks head for environmental program to be someone who just came in from an Oil company. he then screw with the facts, and gets told to resigned where he later joins Exxon Mobile and works for them. If thats not conflict of interest, i dont know what is..

Yes, yes, I know he conveniently forgot to mention the truth of the enviromental impact of factory farms, but this is still a great doc.

Well that was pretty good, for people that have no idea about the subject, I wouldn't take everything to heart, and the little personal side stories could have been left out, but the fact remains Earth is heating up and doing something even as simple as lowering greenhouse gasses can't hurt us and would definitely be beneficial to all life. To those who say you don't care, how could you not care about life and it's upset balance we ARE creating, I guess if you had a child that would have to pay your fault, you'd care. Just because Al Gore is such a douche in the film doesn't mean you have to hate the message that at least many more will think about being wasteful in all senses not just in burning oil or power, but garbage and chemicals and anything not natural. Even if somehow the world will last forever, does that mean "free-for-all" Do your worst? I hope at least someone gets some change out of this, That's why I love the town I live in, Sarnia, Ontario, home of the world's largest solar farm at 950 acres, at least for now, many more are being built around the globe, some even bigger than ours! Anyways I hope this comment is not too hated as there is not hate in it, good doc. 7/10.

We need to start taking better care of this world we live on. Period. Whether everything in this movie is true or not it still has a great message that should be spread to people everywhere. Wake up and pay attention. Massive air polution, straining our resources, killing off wildlife, oil spills in the ocean... the list goes on. Global warming may not be what kills us in the end, but something sure as hell will - and surprise, we'll have it coming to us.

A more appropriate title for this would be "A very convienient lie." It is an interesting documentary, but considering the source, it seems obvious to me that this is fear mongering propaganda to push political interests of total fiscal and domestic control.

Importance doesn\'t make a film alone. Very preachy, terrible ending, focuses way too much on Gore\'s presidential life. Feast, liberals, feast!

This movie could if had a bit more information such as more facts...and showed more of what is being caused due to this...Al Gore is just representing facts from scientists but not all people believe in the facts but believe in the apocalypse if he would of put it all together he would of had a better set movie then this movie all on facts and charts that alot of people dont wanna watch and i even read somewhere that one of his charts in this movie is incorrect that it was upside down or the numbers were wrong...im not to sure which..but false facts is even worse...

the movie was and still is based on lies the fact that AL GORE is being sued by several different governments along with the scientists that supported his views and lied about their scientific data should be a huge EYE OPENER!
