It's rare when a sequeal is EVEN better than a brilliant first.

A sequel to the film 'Before Sunrise', which I suggest you watch first if you're thinking about viewing this. I was so glad to hear that there's a follow-up to the first movie, yet I feared it would be terrible in comparison. I needn't have worried. Although not as...philosophical as the first (because in this they talk more about their own lives than life in general), the connection between the two characters is just as strong in my opinion, and I was left feeling just as emotionally touched [as I was at the end of 'Before Sunrise']. I can't find the words to explain what exactly is so touching about the two films, but, as I said in my comment under 'Before Sunrise', if there's a bit of a romantic in you, you might want to watch. Really good to relax to and to let yourself get lost in their story. The end left me curious, but satisfied/happy. If you don't like films with a lot of talking in, don't bother with these.

great film watched the sequel other two nights, do NOT watch this film unless you have seen before sunrise first, the realtionship between these two characters is so strong, very sad they meet 9 years later when they could of been together.

My god what a beautiful film! Again, the depth of conversation is just so breath taking - I mean I had to stop the film a few times because I was just overwhelmed by the intense intimacy between them yet that intensity was broken by their warm humour! I'm in love with the fact that they always speak about such intricate topics, ones we often avoid in real life! I love how easy it was between them - it all seemed so effortless. And the ending was just simple yet so powerful 10/10.

Complements the first one perfectly. I was up in the air after watching the first film, not really sure if I liked it or if I would like the follow up, but the two fit together so well. In both films, the dialogue is often intriguing and even poetic at times. However, that cab scene in the second film, the hysteria, seemed out of place, almost unrealistic, and somewhat incongruent with the rest of the film. Overall, though, I really enjoyed it.

i love these two movies, usually romantic films ive watched are about 2 people that meet and fight and make up its all the same unrealistic stuff that we expect to happen.. except in before sunrise & this film the romance is more realistic and not so oobvious to the characters outsides.. definetly worth watching 5/5

Ah! A third one, "Before Midnight" has just been wrapped!

I'm gonna watch it the third time now. I am a 25 year old guy and my girl made me watch them. I told her that "they are okay" but these 2 movies are the best romance movies i have seen, including Korean movies.

Usually sequels are not as good as the original. Amazingly this sequel is as good if not better than Before Sunrise.

I watched the other one first because some comment said to, and I went ahead and watched this one too; nothing better to do, but I can't imagine why they are rated so high. My falling in love never was so boring as their falling in love. They hardly touched each other in either movie. What kind of romance is that. I had one boyfriend years ago who hardly touched me like that. He didn't last long.

I loved the entire trilogy; This, Before Sunrise, and Before Midnight. May seem a little slow to some, but give it a chance really is a beautiful story that continues to unfold in this sequel. Enjoy! =] 5/5

I'm so glad I stayed alive to see this movie. The characters are so so real, the performance is mind blowing! Rating it, is a disgrace, this is fucking masterpiece! Chapeau Bas!

A beautiful, moving, brilliant movie. This is a classic, just like 'Before Sunrise' when they first met...excellent story line and top of the line acting by Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Very meaningful dialogue between two people and how they can truly connect... 9/10
