Guinness does a wonderful job in a role that is different from his usual comedic fare. Plenty of pipes and a good script.

Alec G. is fantastic in this classic. Post war military/battalion life seen with it's knickers down around it's ankles. Such a grand display of snobbery, betrayal, disloyalty and hatred screened to perfection. 4/5.
