I cant help but notice a lot of people here took away the wrong message from this Documentary. And because of that are now converting to Veganism. Unfortunately this Documentary wasnt EXCLUSIVE to MEAT! It also went into how these big companies have infiltrated plant life and are essentially doing the same things to VEGETATION that they are doing to MEAT. Sure the visual of a Genetically Modified Organism Crop aka Fake Food(Example:Corn) doesnt give of that scary a visual as cows, pigs and chicken being abused. But 1 is not above the other. This earth and the species within it lives off of PLANT LIFE! So a piece of corn is not in pain suffering like a cow, but that fake or clones corn(or vegetable) that you and your kids are slowly killing your family. Diabetes, Cancer...no one truly knows how dangerous these GMO's are just like noone knew how dangerous tobacco was back in the day. But we know now that it is a murder weapon and has killed of countless people and continues to kill people not to mention destroy the earth. MONSATO! Is one of the most dangerous companies in the world and they almost have a monopoly on the corn industry which fuels countless items on your grocery shelves. This Documentary wasnt saying, "stay away from meat"....No, It was saying, "SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FARMERS"...The ones who are treating the animals and vegetation right. Stop buying and eating garbage produced by these big businesses that dont care about your health and well being. They put AMMONIA in your FOOD!!! Monsato were the creators of a deadly chemical that was created to kill by the masses. Ask any Veteran of Vietnam about that poison if you'll lucky to find one alive. SUPPLY & DEMAND!!! They will continue to supply you garbage that kills you as long as you want it(BUY IT)...so stop buying it. The organic stuff may be a bit more expensive now...BUT, you'll save a hell of a lot more money in the long run when you dont have to pay those ridiculous hospital bills....not to mention save your life

Very informative movie, everyone should watch it and think about what they eat. Before this movie I did not put much mind into it. Very good buddy of mine is Vegan and told me I had to watch it. I pressume this would be his type of horror film. In reality I believe it would be as the world is ignoring what truly goes into our foods with little information. Thanks for making docs like these, indeed.

a must watch for every person on this earth. after watching this watch the bee documentary the colony. when they kill off those bees we will have no choice but to grow genetically modified trademarked seeds that will self pollenate. we are all screwed and its been their plan for quite some time. client9 is the best documentary i have seen to date that shows the true intent of the people behind the mysteries that control our world. listening to aaron russo on youtube is also a good glimpse of the truth. listen. watch. learn. grow. and become aware.

That is so disgusting and vile - this should be obligatory viewing for everybody. Its all about the subsidies, how horrible.

Everyone should see this movie, to learn what is actually offered in our grocery stores and restaurants, including fast food. Even though it is not identified as such, this is Codex Alimentarius - a global food standard (which was drafted into the U.S. food safety laws), shown in full color, which represents 85-90% of our foods. Since this was made a few years ago and now an ex-Monsanto at the helm of the FDA? I guarantee, standards are even worse than before. :( After watching this film, i had to a hard long look at foods i was buying in the stores. Labelling and standards are appalling within our regulatory agencies. Research and find safe food options. Organic labels does not mean it's actually organic - since the FDA establish these standards. This movie doesn't just cover the meats either, but how our foods are processed, as well as legislation and supreme court's ruling's that have changed the legal landscape of this country. For you and your family's sake - please watch this film. It's a rude awakening, but one that is so important for your health. There are solutions though, it's just about making different choices in what we purchase for our foods.

10/10 What ~And the Band Played On~ was to the AIDS crisis, so is ~Food, Inc.~ to the DNA/genetic code of the human race. Time to get our heads out of the sand. Excellent documentary - a ~must see~ because this affects everyone! Well researched, well-presented facts are offered in interesting and understandable ways. You can have fun watching this... it's not ~dry.~ Please mention other, more recent, films on this topic, if you know of one of this caliber. Thanks. :)

why the food industry is messed up: Coorporate greed. I was a vegetarian before I saw this. This documentary simply confirms my attitude towards the meat industry.

The system is so f'ked. They control us through our food supply, and then contaminate it. They don't care about us. They -want- us sick, so that the healthcare industry keeps making money off of dying people. And the fact that they deliberately try to make fresh produce more unattainable by making it more expensive? That just angers me. Ugh.

Now Mcdonalds and all the fast food places are jacking up their prices, Now the average combo is like 7-8$, You might as well pay a few dollars more and you're at an actual restaurant. But people are still going to fast food places instinctively. We can't help the entire country, you can only make a decision for yourself and hopefully your family.
