This movie is made of the story of Terry Pratchetts first two discworld books. I missed some of the humor but i still like it alot. Seen it 3 times and that wont be the end of it ^^.

Awesome movie. Good acting, storyline and the ending was brilliant. Terry Pratchet is a great author, with a sense of humour. The ending was fantastic, the best Disc World movie I've seen, hope they make more movies about it.

What can I say, it's Pratchet, not as good as the book, but you cannot include all those little comments that Mr. Pratchet includes in the books. There are some very funny moments and it is true to the story line of the book. It was obviously endorsed by the author, as this stamp was introduced in the personal appearance of Terry Pratchet at the end of the film. If you are a Disk World fan, this is a unmissable film, 9/10.

yes, there's a second part, the versions that only come in one part, are just missing the second episode entirely. just use your prefered player for the first part (anything with divx for me) and a different version part 2 link for the second. movshare, version 13, is excellent quality as usual. tho again only one of two episodes. good film if you like this sort of thing. if you do, you probably like Hogfather and Going Postal too, both after discworld books as well.

I absolutely love the Terry Pratchett series. Who doesn't!?! This is a must see for everyone, especially if they have never touched a Terry Pratchett book nor watched any of these 2-part Discworld movies. Best link is version 3 on SockShare-has both parts, good audio & no problems with visual, loading or anything else.

So far I know there is only this film, the Hogfather and Going Postal...are they going to put up anymore films from DiscWorld? I absolutely loved these films. I should give the novels a reading..

Great movie. This is one of Terry Pratchett's books that I have not read yet. After my husband had me read one, I have been making my way through them as I get them. I can't wait to read the books this was based on now.

Feh. While I'm sure this might make a great starting point for would-be DiscWorld-ites, I think fans of Pratchett's book series will find it severely lacking. It's got a lot of things going for it mind you, but just as many working against it, the biggest being that fans of the books will already have certain ideas in their minds as to how things should look and feel, how lines are delivered etc. One of the book series' greatest strengths was how subtle much of the humor was, the events had a timing and rhythm that worked really well, which this adaptation eschews in lieu of satisfying the lowest common denominator (i.e. people who haven't read the books and therefore wouldn't understand some of the references being made). The result is that everything comes off as being ham handed and rushed. Comparing the book to this movie is like... eh, comparing filet minon to a hamburger- they're both pretty enjoyable on their own, and they both contain the same ingredients, but they're just not the same. I give this movie 1 Tim Curry out of Jeremy Irons (both of whom are in this film).

Yeah, I know people love the books - I used to too - and so look at these films through rose-coloured glasses. But this is awful. Terrible casting, the usual film-maker's delusion that they know better than the original story writer, so change the tale to what they think is amusing (ie: the whole start with Rincewind being expelled etc) and the glaring errors, like twoflower should be asian (or Auriental, as Pratchett said). and letting the author himself have a role (oh! what did Hitchock set in motion!!) is a terrible idea - his lisping voice just grates. I loved this book when i first read it, and I find this interpretation an insult
