Good enough. The Gathering Storm with Finney is much better but I gave this production 8/10 because I did not think the acting was superb. It was good enough, the background research was okay and the only thing I have to add is that Churchill stands giant in history as a statesman, a war lord, as a prolific writer. I worked with a woman who was a child in London during the blitz; she never hesitated to recount how much the children loved to hear him on the radio - he gave them great hope during a most hopeless time. He was their hero long remembered and will never be forgotten and he has never been duplicated.

Wonderful rendition of Mr. Churchill's life during this period in time. Awesome cast & direction. I would recommend that anyone interested in history read Winston's books. He was an accomplished author as well as a superb statesman. There will never be another like him. Thank you Mr. Churchill. 9/10!!!!

good movie, definitely worth the watch, but honestly I liked Albert Finney's portrayal of Churchill in "The Gathering Storm" better

Love history and this is a spot on portrayal of Winston Churchill. It is also telling of the British people and how they betrayed him after the War. He lead them through one of the darkest times in British history only to turn their backs on him and elect someone else as Prime Minister after Germany's defeat and to further add insult to injury, that Prime Minister was the face of post-war Britain. He also took the greatest amount of credit for Winston Churchill's strength, iron-will and victory in the face of improbable odds and possible defeat. Luckily, time and accurate fact-finding has corrected the historical archives and Winston Churchill has been given his proper credit and place in history.
