Ginger Snaps: This film uses werewolfism as a metaphor for puberty. One of the Fitzgerald sisters, suburban goth girl outcasts, gets bitten by something in the woods (and it ain't a neighborhood dog).

One of the best Lycanthrope movies out there. The humility of this movie is moving. Best time to watch this movie; Raining, thunder and lightning, late at night. The effect is chilling.

Not a bad movie, the girls were creepy enough at the start. Ended up (having seen the others) to not be a bad little series of films. If you're into werewolves here is a movie for you!

Nice spin on the werewolf story, with all the teen angst you can swallow to boot! Better than its sequels, this movie is a must see for the werewolf fan, if for no other reason than to be able to say you've seen it. Not bad at all.

Ginger Snaps is my favourite horror film. It's not very scary, but it uses lycanthropy as a metophor for puberty, which is brilliant. Katharine Isabelle's acting is fantastic and her character is completely likable. I can say the same for Emily Perkins and her character as well. It's a great movie that also has its funny moments, which are funny because you can relate to them, not because there is some cheesy joke thrown in there for no reason. It's got some dark humour, which I personally love. Great, GREAT movie. Everyone should watch this, even if you aren't into horror films.

Fantastic. It might be a low budget movie but it exceeds with its professionalism some of the Hollywood productions. To me, the best warewolf film there is. Also, a great (and rare!) 'coming of age' story for girls/women.

Ginger Snaps is a surprisingly good movie. It combines an original take on the classic werewolf movie with a female coming-of-age tale. This movie is both intelligent and interesting but definitely not for everyone. 4/5

I am honestly not one to be creeped out, cringe, or scare easily during a "horror" film. This did all three of those to me. The special effects makeup was awesome, and the constant suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. I even got the goosebumps, jumped, and felt legitimately "scared". Job well done! 5/5 Enjoy!
