REALLY Clive Barker?? You crapped out the abomination that is Hellraiser: Hellworld, but you haven't come up with a sequel to this little gem? Really??? Come on, mon.

Everything's true, god's an astronaut,Oz is over the rainbow and Midian is where the monsters live. This excellent horror movie is based on the Clive Barker book Cabal, and tells the story of Midian a place where the outcasts and monsters live without fear of persecution. There are some great names in this movie such as David Cronenberg, director of films such as The Dead Zone and Doug Bradley of Pinhead fame in the movie Hellraiser, making this is a must see movie for all horror fans,9/10.

This was one of my all time favorite movies I watched when I was young...It didn't scare me as much as I remember I always felt so sad for them. I haven't seen it since then and I cant wait to watch it as an adult to see how I "feel" now.

This is my favourite Clive Barker movie and I'm so glad he's now gotten the chance to re-release it the way he'd wanted it in the first place with the Limited Edition. I haven't seen that version, but I'm looking forward to it. This really does cry out for a sequel and I hope that comes about too. I'd heard a year or so ago that they were actually going to begin a TV series, but nothing seems to have come of that yet I think.

I just read that this film has been re-released with a director's cut & it's supposed to be better than this version. Look forward to seeing it.

Criminally underrated movie. In my eyes Clive Barker's best.Barker's been trying to get the 35 mins that were cut from the movie by morgan creek. With no success.A remake would be the right way to go i think. This movie was marketed wrong, despite this is still a cult fave.

I want a sequel! This movie rocked back then and it still rocks! This particular storyline was one of my favorites. It and Clive Barkers...Book of Blood. The Hellraisers got old for me.

wow, I've never seen anything from this movie before, and I was shocked, how awesome, freaky, horrifiying and creative this whole movie was! reminded me a little bit of beetlejuice, what's a good thing. Boy, I wish this would become like a series now, I would totally watch the shit out of it. Story was a little whacky, but the character designs alone are REALLY worth the watch. what a surprise! 4 stars!

I think I might have the only negative review. This is too cheesy for me. The characters don't have depth. It's always about a good story for me, and this has a very simplistic story.

Classic Clive Barker. Absolutely love every minute of this. This movie is a perfect example of how humans fear what they don't know or understand and tend to want to destroy what they don't know or understand without question or reason 9/10

This is Clive Barker's masterpiece in my opinion. The movie has a great storyline and some amazing make-up and effects. The one thing I would love to see happen is a sequel. The movie was set up for a sequel and with improved technology the second movie could be incredible. David Cronenberg must appear in a sequel as well as Craig Sheffer. But this particular movie was a great original, creative and entertaining idea and I could watch it over and over again. Cronenberg was perfect in this movie and Sheffer added an interesting spice to the film. 10/10

Wonderful surprise to me - certainly didn't think that I'd be finding a new Favorite, but this movie is fun, entertaining, and just very visually satisfying. The box cover art seems so cheesy that I assumed the movie was also - Boy! was I ever wrong. The actors are good, not Oscar great, but very good and I felt that I could identify with the 'naturals' at least. The makeup and costumes are such a treat to watch and the story is well thought out. There is a minimum of gore and shock IMO, but there is still a sense of horror that I think comes out of the simplicity of the monster's appearances and the locations used as sets and backdrops. I certainly recommend this to anyone who has ever enjoyed a horror/thriller movie; this is one of the best.

Still a very awesome & interesting original movie. So weird and sometimes dumb but the music and movie monster make-up is astounding IMO some of the best out there even today and for it's time. Really interesting story written and directed by one of the best horror writers. A very well done horror classic and still worth watching. Love Craig Sheffer ;)
