Beautiful, violent, magical and sad....captivating from start to finish and one of my favorite movies. A labyrinth I didn't want to leave.

This is a movie that I rented and didn't return because I just didn't want to let it go. This is an amazing adult fantasy film. Probably my favorite Spanish film.

This movie is really really a piece of art .. one of the few sparse movies that are actually special and great .. I could understand why the director meant to show the brutal scenes with no hiding for better justifying of the Ofelia's tendency to create an imaginary world full of promises rather than that frustrating and even bloody reality .. a side note , I think that the scene of the pale man eating the fairies was a reflection of that rough reality leaking from her subconscious to her fantasies and threatening her expectations through any little unforgivable mistake like what she did .. so realistic ..

Guillermo del Toro is such a wonderful story teller and creates such beautiful monsters. It's almost like he's in love with them. This is a coming of age tale with a back drop to the Spanish civil war inter twined with faires and magic...

Very good movie. Took me long enough to finally watch it and I'm glad I did. I guess I was a little turned off by the fact that it was a "fairy tale" movie, and while it is indeed a "fairy tale" movie it is much more. For some reason, I was expecting a non-violent, PG rated movie. Well, I found out I was quite wrong shortly into the film. Awesome SFX, great cinematography, great acting, interesting setting, and good story line are things you usually don't find all in one movie, but this film accomplishes that feat. The main villain was a baaaad baaaad dude, man the actor (Sergi Lopez) did a great job because I was really hating the hell out him all movie. I really liked the performances of Ofelia and Mercedes as well. Yea, can't say there are many fantasy/fairy tale movies set during a war zone in WW2, further making this movie refreshing and unique. 9/10

Simply awesome. Stunning, superb example of what people are really missing when they bitch about subtitles or foreign work. If it bugs you that much, then the wonder and talent is lost on you anyway. A favorite film.

I found this movie sad. For a child to image such a world to escape the horrors of war is a very terrible thing. No child should ever have to experience something like this. Bravo to the film makers, they truly knew what they were doing.

This was extraordinary! One of the best fantasy films i've ever seen. It was dark, and emotional, but contained good action and war scenes. Amazing acting. Beautiful cinematography and score. Has a little something for everyone, but if you can't handle violence, and disturbing subjects than this may not be the film for you. I give it 5/5. It blew me away.

An allround perfect film , every minute is used and filled up with a kind of magical purpose - in some fantasy films (especially the more recent ones ) you can tell when there are fillers of needless and pointless stuff ( like in the hobbit where they try and stretch it out with parts that wouldn't make a difference if they weren't there. every bit of this is exciting or scary or just plain beautiful. 5/5

Didn't expect the entire film to be in Spanish, but it was good nevertheless! A one time watch for my taste

The acting is great and full of remorse even though it is in Spanish, the subtitles are easy to follow and it doesn't stop it from being a brilliant film .

A fairytale for adults. Pan's Labyrinth is creepy yet alluring, like a capricious dream that could easily turn into a nightmare -- it is one of the most imaginative and spellbinding films I have ever seen.

Unless you have a problem with the fact that it's not English, then this kind of twisted fantasy story is just PERFECT! The plot story, the acting, the effects, it's all just great. Beautiful yet a kind of sad ending, but I will say that this movie is one of my favorites now. 10/10 stars n_n

I've almost forgotten how beautiful this movie is! It shows the cruel reality side filled with bad people and a fantasy world filled with magic that Ofelia has gotten a chance to experience! 10/10!

This is a very good film. More than just a fantasy but, a story of war and pain and emotion that is well tailored for the screen. Guillermo Del Toro, is with out a doubt a very introspective producer to have made such a fine movie. This proves that without a shadow of doubt, that we will all have to find a Pan's Labyrinth of our own, to find our way through. 10/10
