Between this, and PS I love you Gerrard butler then shocks you with showing not only does he have pipes in Phantom of the Opera, but does this film which set him in stone on my favorite actors list which is a small but elite group of amazing guys. Fantastic Film, you owe it to yourself to see this film.

Gentle drama with a sweet and touching storyline about family and friendship. Performances are endearing and Butler isn't in the least annoying. Though the story isn't particularly surprising, it doesn't matter, this is a lovely movie and worth a watch.

A touching drama about a mother and her son, and the plot she dreams up to keep her son's dreams alive about his missing father, this Scottish film will keep you enthralled right to the end. 4/5 Thank you uplinkers.

One of those must watch movies that will stay with you. As a bloke and a Scot I felt for Butler's tragic character. Tragic yet filled with hope at the same time. Superb sums it up nicely.

Very nice movie... it almost feels like the man when trough a similar story either with his own father or losing a child to be touched like that. No past present or future, i wish we knew a little more back story though. it's almost too short of a movie, but i like to imagine that he comes back to them. Although i don't really like the real father moments, i don't think it was very necessary, the sentence it was a present from his dad pretty much sums up this part of the story. Anyway, another brilliant scottish movie, they are very good poets with low budgets.

This is the type of film that isn't too interesting while you watch it, but once it's over you think overall it was very good. Though, the accents were hard to understand at points; especially Frankie's. Gerard Butler is an amazing actor and I was so excited when I saw that he was in this movie. 7/10

This was a really good movie. Very sad and touching storyline. The end isn't that happy but still good. This movie is sad. I would recommend it.
