Taylor Hackford is an amazing director. I first discovered him when I saw An Officer and a Gentleman and I have been a big fan ever since. Here in Ray, he does not disappoint and with the coupling of the extraordinary skills of Jamie Fox, it made for an amazing Bio-Pic. Loved it. 9/10

Great acting, more suited for TV. The problem I have with biopics is that because they are based on true events/lives, and for accuracy's sake, they can't really write in any plot twists and turns or a solid and/or surprising ending. Left me wanting. 3/5.

Definitely one of the best biography movie ever made. On par with Michael Mann's Ali. Very emotional and touching and places and also very inspiring. I hated that even Ray got into drugs but nevertheless he is still a great artist and person. Jamie Foxx was perfect in the role. I don't think anybody else could play the part that well.
