the first time I tried to watch this I fell asleep, however I just watched it fully got to say a lot better than I thought it was going to be, but that being said, I found it was good, nothing special but nothing bad. I give this a 2.5/5

This film is pure comic genius and William H Macy and Meg Ryan are great together. Man I laughed through the whole thing, it is so bad it's brilliant.

If you like metamovies (= films about people making a film) like 'Bowfinger' and 'Get Shorty', you'll like this too. I loved the scene from 'Ben Disraeli, Freedom Fighter'. Def. the best film Meg Ryan has been in since she, ahem, wasn't quite so young and pretty any more. [feel like a cad writing that, I still love her.] William H. Macy bust a gut to get this film made, in which an a disillusioned filmmaker busts a gut... Respect to him. Funny, sweet film; it's got heart.
