Loved it.....all around great performances with the one and only D.D.Lewis as expressive as ever in this tortured dream chasing story, sad, uplifting and ultimately genuine....4/5.

Brilliant performance from Daniel Day-Lewis, directed by his wife in this one. Don't really get where people get the incest BS from, I can only imagine they haven't actually seen the movie. Worth a watch.

Beautiful movie... I love how even at the end, after everything that happens, one of the sons is still able to realize the amazingness of her "innocence".

Get you head out of the gutter and watch the film. Jack was a political radical and environmental activist who organized a self-sustaining commune on a small island off the East Coast as an alternative way of living. In 1986, the commune is down to two members -- Jack and Rose, his 16-year-old daughter. Educated and isolated by her father. Jack has an on-and-off relationship with Kathleen who lives on the mainland with her 2 boys. He then asks her to move in with them. The story precedes from there.
