This mini series was simply amazing , wasnt expecting much from it since i kinda already got blown away by other series in the same time era such as the white queen and the tudors. But it surprisingly was a great series im sad it was so short i would have liked to see more of it but none the less its a must watch if you like historical series and great costumes and good acting. Tom Hardy got me over the fence to watch this just because i found it odd he would play in such a miniseries. And i liked that Kevin Mckidd starred in this too. Im definitely giving this a 5 out 5 stars

I watched this before and it's is just as good the second time around! I still give it a 5/5. Love Tom Hardy...

I watched this because I like Tom Hardy, Queen Elizabeth, movies based on history, and period pieces. This show was pretty good, but the actress playing Elizabeth was creepy to me. Tom Hardy was, of course, good! But the Elizabeth movies with Cate Blanchett in 1998 & 2007 were MUCH better, and Cate didn't give me the "creepies"...LOL. With all that being said, this show is pretty good with good acting. I just really prefer the films with Cate and think the casting and acting is much better. I give this 3/5, but as we all know especially on this website, others may like this show much better. Either way...Enjoy :-)!

It was hard following her story. Very stgrong acting. Wasn't as entertaining as other royals in her family tree.

Does anyone know how many parts there are to this?

It is a shame that the amount of time that you do have to spend looking for the next part of each episode should tarnish this fantastic series. But if something share by all the providers that have to rely on you tube for this one as none has the full series, and no one has the complete episodes. I should know as I have been looking everywhere for it. But regardless of this this version of the Virgin Queen is perhaps the best I (just about, see above)have seen so far.

I saw this series when it first aired on PBS in the states, and it was wonderfully done, in-depth look at a golden reign in a golden age of discovery for England(and Ireland and Wales, at that time, no Scotland included yet), and has a compelling soundtrack as well. I highly recommend this miniseries.

Yet another great series put out by the BBC. The woman that they got to play Elizabeth I was very believable in her character. Enjoyed the actors/actresses, costumes, sets etc. A great watch if you are in to this period in history. Gives a different variance of Elizabeth I life, in some sorts, from the main screen "Elizabeth" and "Elizabeth the Golden Age" 8/10

started out really well, however, there are no links for episodes 4 and 6 - 6 being the final. so it realy is not worth the time to watch if you can't see how it ends. Other than that, I found it to be a wonderful film of history, great acting and the period costumes were brilliant. I would love to grade it a 4/5 on what I saw, however it gets an ''incomplete''.

An honest attempt by all but both Helen Mirren's and Cate Blanchett's legacies as Elizabeth I are still secure! Not a waste of time but nothing to write home about. I'll give it 3 out 5 for the rest of the cast...Duff, not so much!
