I have seen the entire series 4 times. In a tie for my favourite show of all time. This is amazing science fiction and it delves in to real theoretical physics concepts. If a theory was considered impossible, it was reportedly removed from the script. Unlike Lost (which I also love and also a JJ Abrams creation) it was planned out as much as possible to allow for all of the foreshadowing and future events so that there are far fewer ret-cons. It asks a lot of the same philosophical questions as Lost did but in its own quirky way. Overshadowing all of the science fiction, however, is a show about love. I have never watched a show that was more profound and powerful in both its examination and execution of the love between a father and a son. It's exciting, dark, beautiful, fascinating and most unexpectedly hilarious. Walter is by far the most amazingly crafted character ever and was played to perfection by John Noble. The writing is stellar, the production value is fantastic and it remains the most creative show I have ever seen. I cannot recommend this enough. It's the characters who make up the heart of any show and the characters on Fringe make it whole. It truly is, even with its little flaws here and there, as close to a perfect marriage of drama and sci-fi as you can get. And as much as I loved The X-files, it has nothing on Fringe.

Just finished re-watching this show. I've seen a lot of TV in my life and this is without a doubt the greatest to ever grace the small screen. it has such depth, brilliant acting, and is extremely profound. if you haven't watched it you're missing out on an experience. what a beautiful work of art this show was.

I just finished binge-watching the series again and I'm amazed that it still holds my interest even though I know the story. This time around I was able to pay closer attention to the emotional development of the characters and was really impressed with the consistency of their emotional states from episode to episode. Many times characters in other shows seem to shrug off important events in the previous episode as if it never happened but Fringe maintains this development even between alternate universes and divergent timelines. I love how the story in each episode commonly touches on some aspect of the characters' developments as well, tying the practical progress of the fringe events to the characters' emotional progress. This made it succeed more so than JJ Abrams' Lost which faltered possibly because it was affected by the 2007-2008 writer's strike.

Great show, excellent acting by the main trio of stars, and takes you into another dimension of Science Fiction. I am hooked, and if you are looking for a new show-this is it! Start watching! Side-Note: John Noble (Walter Bishop), genius actor, excellent character. A mad scientist with a memory full of holes and a heart of gold.

This is one of the very best TV series of the last 25 years, I just decided to watch it all over again, and I have a big smile on my face as I dive in.

At the risk of repeating all the previous comments made : this show is indeed, fantastic. There isn't really a single reason for that. For one, it made me think about science and society. This entertaining science fiction series is filled with true scientific fact, making it (although fictional) somewhat tangible. Let's say the show literally indicates (via the character of Peter) what rules of science it breaks, and then you say "Yeah, if you modify the molecules themselves, sure you can walk through that wall.". But that's just the cherry on top of the cake. No, really, the emotional bond between me (the viewer) and the characters, that's what got me hooked. This is probably due to the terrific (and versatile) acting. It could also be the character's stories evolving throughout the seasons. It could be the extremely strong emotions portrayed (love, betrayal, guilt, despair, insanity) which makes me emphatic. Either way, after watching this series twice, I'm now waiting for my brain to forget some of the main plot, so that I can rewatch it all again. Terrific show which hopefully will touch you as much as it touched me.

I'm re-watching Fringe. What a fantastic series! Every character and the actor that portrays them is perfect in their roles. Give this a go if you have nothing else to do and like sci-fi.

My God, I watched every single season last year with in about a month. I still miss it. How freaking cool. It's hard to relay the story to someone without making it sound completely retarded. I cant even get my husband to watch it. He loves Supernatural, The 4400, Lost, The 100. For Goodness Sake's. Put all those shows together, now you have Fringe. COMPELLING. And a MUST watch. Im just saying...

Great show. Worth watching. Every season the show finds a new way to reinvent itself, keeping things interesting. In one episode they talked about shutting down the FBI's 'Fringe Division' and they mentioned how they once had the 'X-designation', an obvious reference to X-files. That got me thinking, how cool would a cross over have been? To have had David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson guess star in one episode would have really been something.
