MY MUM AND GRANDPARENTS WERE FROM THE SOUTH OF IRLELAND AND THE NEVER TALKED ABOUT THE WAR (WHICH IT WAS,NOT THE TROUBLES AS THE BRITISH LIKE TO CALL IT,AS IT SOUNDS BETTER) THIS FILM IS VERY ACCURATE AS I DID 3 TOURS OF BELFAST WITH THE PARAS,THIS STORY IS LEGENDARY AND THERE IS A LOT CUT OUT OF THE FILM SO I SUGGEST READING THE BOOK,MARTIN WAS AN ANTI HERO ,WITH NO ALLIGENCIES AND NO TIES,HE JUST WANTED A BETTER IRELAND,HE WAS AS HIS MOTHER CALLED HIM ONE IN A MILLION,I HOPE ONE DAY THEY STOP HUNTING HIM,AND HIS SON GETS TO KNOW, HOW MANY LIVES HE SAVED,AND GETS TO MEET A REAL MAN BRILLIANT FILM,10/10

Terrific performances and an array of kinetic action scenes help distinguish Fifty Dead Men Walking from the seemingly endless stream of films about Northern Ireland's infamous era of sectarian violence known as the Troubles. 3/5

Excellent film, storyline and cast. My dad was from The Falls road in Belfast and told me lots of story's about what went on with the IRA. Martin took on a very dangerous task, and paid the price. And for the Polish gent who wasn't sure about the accents? (which actually made me LOL) They were spot on. 4/5

Having spent time in Ireland I found the Irish people to be among the friendliest people I have ever met and it's no wonder they have a smile on their face each day they see the sun rise after seeing this film and the hardship they have had to endure for so many years. "Martin" put the lives of so many people around him at risk just associating with them and for that alone he deserves what he gets. Good for the people he saved but he is a "rat" and I seem to have missed the part where I should feel sorry for him. Excellent film though and well played out. 8/10

Solid, gritty IRA biopic. Nice to see Ben Kingsley in a role where he doesn't look like an Ac-tor. Bit of a change for Rose McGowan too - she's very good (not 100% sure about the accent, though). Well worth a watch.
