@supafly - yes you're right but... & @grudgeorns - its not a miracle, its a carefully controlled business plan. The benefits to it being legalized are no longer in debate; the dutch, the spanish, they don't follow American drug policy like most of Europe. They have successful drug policy that is rational relative to the populus. The U.S. policy is successful relative to the people who mostly make it, the corporate sector. With people buying over-priced pharmaceuticals rather than growing their own medicine and being sent to America's fastest growing business, private prisons, the U.S. corporate sector has it exactly as it wants it. 1% making as much money as possible.

The truth is it's a miracle it's not legalized in more than a few states for recreational use.

If it was legalised, wouldnt it be easier to control? And, people wouldnt be using bad cannabis because of the legislation in place? Wouldnt it put drug dealers out of work because people can just buy it in a shop. Doesnt the govt. want drug dealers to stop? Wouldnt it prevent crime because people would stop robbing drug dealers, who then have to increase prices to cover their losses which forces crime on customers to afford the drugs in the first place? Imagine the tax money the govt. could make? A lot of people are put off because it is illegal, if it wasnt.. more people would confess they use. The drug doesnt kill, alcohol has killed, and thats legal. And what about the people who use it as medicine? It is possible to vaporize, so you dont do the harm to your lungs. How on earth do politicians think they are justified? I dont use it myself... I study economics. lol! The maths is simple.
