An extremely enjoyable film. The performances were fantastic, it was funny and touching. I loved the way it was done, it had a lovely, realistic small town feel to it that not many pictures can capture. A must see.

Did nothing for me, I'm afraid. Maybe you need to be a fan of the comic books.

One of Paul Giamatti's best performances, ever--and that is saying a lot considering his resume of exceptional work in film. All-around one of the best films I've ever seen. 5/5 Stars, and then some.

Joyce: 'Harvey, go get me water and a few aspirin.' Harvey: 'What, you got a headache?' Joyce: 'No, but I want to avoid one.'HAHA my kind if dialog, all the way.

Great movie with amazing, solid performances by all the actors. Paul Giamatti nailed his role to perfection. The way the story is presented and the story itself is really different and unique and was very enjoyable. Worth watching a lot of times.

What a grumpy old sod Harvey Pekar was but then again what a very lonely man also. Touching movie this about one of the people who redefined what we think a comic book can be. Only recently found out that he died so, had too rewatch this in tribute. Brilliant potrayal by Paul Giamatti in the film.

The one-liners in this film are absolutely classic. It's a treat to see Giamatti observing the real-life character he plays behind the scenes in one particular scene. It's obvious he's fascinated by the guy.
