The President's Barber: A simple man becomes an unwitting witness to some of the darkest and most corrupt days in recent Korean history in this satirical comedy drama. Song Gang-ho stars as Seong Han-mo, a barber whose shop is only a few blocks from the presidential palace in Seoul. Unfailingly loyal but not especially bright, Han-mo was born in 1961 as anti-government demonstrations by students were being met with police violence.

this moves from light drama/comedy to a very powerful and moving story. am exemplary film..also song kang-ho continues as the most versatile actor of korean films.

Another wonderful S. Korean film starring Song Kang-ho. I found it to be a simple, easy to watch political period piece set in Seoul during the 70's. Mr. Song plays his roles so effortlessly it is always a pleasure to watch no matter what the films genre. Think I'll go put in my blu-ray of The Good, The Bad, The Weird where he really stands out.

Yet another brilliant Korean movie. Kang-ho Song is a great actor. This movie gives you a glimpse of post-war era of Korea.
