There are still some interesting developments, and a couple of decent twists. Hitchcock fans will probably still want to see "Jamaica Inn" at least once. But it is hardly one of the director's better films, and not really good enough to be of more general interest.

An old classic in B&W, quality a bit low but that's probably due to the age of the film. Story is old simple and very much enjoyable even today. at 19 Maureen O'Hara was fabulous and certainly stole the lime light from Charles Laughton who will always be remembered for his brilliant performance as Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame also filmed in 1939... 4/5
