another childhood favorite of mine and no, never cried near the end, although i think i should've at least once. Old Yeller will always be a timeless classic of a movie as far as i'm concerned. 10/10

As sad and sappy as this movie is I LOVE IT! This movie will bring you tears if you have a heart. It's a good solid down to earth story that many people can identify with - maybe that's why it is a favorite classic among many people. The movie/book Old Yeller reminds me of another good movie/book entitled Where the Red Fern Grows which is along similar lines as Old Yeller - A sad story of a boy and his dog(s). Old Yeller is definitely worth watching even if you are not a fan of Disney films. And a good one to watch with your kids. 9/10

Sad movie. Kids would like it because it has a dog in it. I think it's a great, classic film. MUST WATCH. Almost made me cry the first time I saw it. 4/5.

A frontier family hooks up with a big yellow dawg. Hard lessons are learned by all. Life is often won by sacrifice. This movie still makes me cry. If you ever had a dog that meant a lot to you...you better have a hanky ready. Also, watch it before you show it to the kiddies because it might be too emotional for some.8/10
