This is an excellent little scare flic, well-known for its ultra-creepy ambience. The dolls and mannequins will have you looking around the room after you crawl into bed and turn out the lights. Chuck Connors is whacked to the gills in this one. But the stars are the dolls. "MOOOOOOLLLLEEEEEEE!!" Really eerie. A must see for fans of this genre. Makes Chucky look pathetic.

Creepy film with a twisted, insane villain. It's something original, and a role I'd never seen Chuck Connors "The Rifleman" before. Worth a watch. 4/6

Not really scary, but definitely creepy due to some of the dummies on display, this little known horror movie from 1979 is well worth searching out. Director David Schmoeller (whom would go on to make the genre classic and best known 'Full Moon' picture "Puppet Master") shows that he had talent even at the beginning, by pouring on the spooky atmosphere in this tale of a group of college teens who are unlucky enough to visit a most peculiar house of wax. The actors give a good job for a B-movie, not the least being the always sexy Tanya Roberts in an early role as Becky. When I say B-movie, I only say in with the utmost fondness in regards to this film, as it's simply delightful. When one sees the drivel that was the remake of "House of Wax" you can't help but notice that it was actually a remake of THIS film (and quite a poor one at that). 8/10

Not a bad movie at all. A little confusing though. did he turn the friends into wax dolls or something? didn't quite get it. Yet, still interesting.

Great 70's horror. Very creepy and chilling with some very eerie music. The mannequins were well designed and gave an unsettling feeling.

rampant with what are now cliché plot lines and plenty of overacting but it was hell of a lot of fun.

Saw this one yrs ago. Not a bad little movie for a watch...and without all the special FX or gore it was still more entertaining than some movies with a bigger budget and more star power....

Well that was an adventure. Definitely one of the weirder psycho-thrillers I have seen with a nice dash of ridiculous. Worth a watch. I can't score this because it was too...weird.

very creepy. I used to tease a friend of mine who's scared of mannequins but, after watching this, I won't be looking at a mannequin the same way.

The real 70s atmosphere. Creepy movie with a good story. I give this movie a 7/10.

It's funny how the plot was simple, yet abstract. Some stuff was a bit confusing such as the mannequins themselves, and how they related to his "powers". I don't want to spoil it for those who have not watched yet, so I won't say more. You'll know what I mean after you watch it. Overall it was entertaining, and definitely had that 70s style slow horror eeriness. I immediately noticed a familiarity in the musical score, which after googling it, I found was performed by the same composer that did the score for the movie Carrie with Sissy Spacek. His name is Pino Donoggio. The music really helped this film out a lot! I wouldn't call this movie a horror classic, but definitely an enjoyable B Horror movie.

Thanks for killing my childhood crush on pretty boy Chuck Connors . He will live on as the Rifleman in my dreams and this guy in my screams.

Very bizarre film, Doesn't make a lot of sense and you'll see why, Its definitely different from anything you've seen, Feels a lot like House Of Wax but with a touch of Texas Chainsaw Massacre , It does give you a creepy vibe with all those mannequins which helps give the movie a scarier feel to it, Its worth at least one time watch. Leaves you with a lot of questions, And the ending! lol.
