Opening, and closing credits more menacing than the actual movie, but I don't mind I was a kid watching this on tv and was scared!

Awesome classic horror movie. Very suspense and the car chases and stunts were impressive.

This movie was pretty exciting and suspenseful! It might have made a bit more sense if the car's creation/existence/purpose/origin/reasoning had been explained, tho. *11-20-16

Designed by George Barris, the Batmobile, and Munster Koach creator, on a Lincoln Mark III frame. The Car was a really creepy DEATH-MOBILE in the deserts of Utah. A cult following today by those of us young enough to be terrified by less sophisticated special effects and B acting of the day. I still enjoyed this again, and the memories came flooding back ... 9/10

That car was cool as hell looked like it had a mad face ! I liked this a lot. It's different not only the time it came out but it did seem scary like the car was a demon possessed. Loved the desert location it made it scarier being open and vulnerable like that. Great script , cast and characters. Classic for sure. Enjoyed watching everything 70's. I cannot get over how much James Brolin's son Josh looks like him.

Great stuff, classic, not scary at all though (but it is good enough reason for me not to ride a bike, or participate in parades) I think this movie was a great transition for the *unstoppable force of nature* into modern mythology, though it seems to me not many movies followed suit, you know instead of the demon, wendigo, llorona, chupacabra, etc. you harness that evil into a car, its awesome, but I dont think the mainstream thinks the same, oh well their loss, I gave it a 9/10, when I saw this the first time I was like 8 or 9 years old, started a *mini meme* at my house with my younger brothers about *creepy Laura* (who keeps hand painted pictures of their boy/girl friend around the house?? weirdo)I recommend this movie to anyone that enjoys the oldies but goodies.

Good over the top fun with some tense action and impressive stunt work. Watch if you're ok with a little bit of set wobbling.

Of the old horror movies, this on is outstanding. It was the first of the *newer* type that was outside the usual box of monsters or supernatural forces. It was creepy as heck even though it was relatively low tech. After seeing this as a kid I would not want to walk along the roadside without a place to run for safety.

This was the most terrifying movie I remember from my youth. I saw it when I was 7 years old. (Thanks Dad!!) For several weeks after, I would quickly hide behind something when I was out riding my bike near sundown when I would hear or see a car coming. I'm almost 40 now, it's time to watch it again and see if it makes me hide from cars. : )

I remember watching this when i was 9 and it scared the hell out of me. Still holds up pretty well today. Interesting to see a young ronny cox as one of the deputies. He was dick Jones in robocop.

I hope they don't make a remake of this, it's perfect. Sheer quality b-movie-ish horror.

Apparently there's going to be a remake of this. Not sure when it will be in production.

I have seen this movie when I was a kid, but it was scary back then. However, gotta give credit to George Barris for customizing the car. It not so scary if you watch it now, not a bad ride!
