Another David Lynch movie that has turned me on in some type of way. Great mystery BTW and Jeffrey was so hot. Dennis Hopper horrified me tho but the rest of the cast was alright. Genius way to show what's under the facade of the perfect. Suspenseful , creepy and kinda sexy. Never thought a Roy Orbison song would freak me out but in a good disturbing kinda way I don't mind. Awesome !

Thought this movie was engaging. Lynch's films are always a strange and creative hybrid of genres, and this one is no exception. I think Lynch is great at telling a story in a unique way. Watch this for a mix of mystery, crime and suspense. 5/5

The characters in Lynch's work are always overly dramatic, and do not behave at all like normal people. This film is no exception to that.

This just goes to show that David Lynch is the Stanley Kubrick of mystery movies.

I watched it because I'm a David Lynch fan and I wanted to see what the hype was all about. The story was engaging, but I think I might have had overly high expectations for the movie. I feel that Kyle MacLachlan is so much better suited to his Twin Peaks character than as Jeffrey in this one. I thought the 'femme fatale' character was more disturbing that hot, and the 'pretty girl' was somewhat unconvincing in her role. The ending is clever and I absolutely love the music (apart from Rossellini's flat rendition of the beautiful title song). I enjoyed Lynch's Mulholland Drive and The Elephant Man much more than Blue Velvet. I rate the movie 3 stars

this movie is riddled with triggers, it's a strange world , isn't it?

In a town overwhelmed by bright white picket fences,Isabella Rossellini(singer) threatens with a butcher knife Kyle MacLachlan(intruder) and arouses him orally seconds before Dennis Hopper(compulsive psycho) uses her for a sex slave, dressed in blue velvet, while referring to her vagina as "Mommy". This is a town where even innocent robins may have a touch of the dark side in them. A film noir that may not be ideal for everybody; i enjoyed it.

Best Lych film from my perspective. Very creepy and very erotic without overdoing either of those aspects. Stockwell was off the charts, really enjoyed his performance. The chemistry between Hopper and Rosallini was symbiotic and caused tension everytime they were together. A very unique and well-acted film.
