It's a classic horror film. I wouldn't ever hate on it. It's just not a favorite. Kinda slow! It's creepy though! 3/5

Oh my! This was actually really great. I loved every single part of it even with the old special effects that were probably amazing for the time period lmao. But this film had all the things you look for in a horror film, old flick yes, but it's a great enjoyable watch if you have never seen it. And I loved those kids Sara and her brother whats his face, oh my gosh I would adopt them they were so adorable!! In the beginning it was really creepy and like the end had so many lol moments I have to say it's one of the best films I have seen this entire year and it's an old film- so that tells you about the quality of the films in this supposed new era (they are all remakes and they suck i.e. Ghostbusters, Blair Witch, need I go on?) This is a great film you cannot miss it. Solid 10/10

It was keeping up with the book for 1/3 of the movie and then it just became its own thing. Too many scenes were added, and some scenes were altered. The ending was different as well. To be honest, the ending was the complete opposite from the book. It did have a creepy atmosphere though so thats a plus.

Typical Stephen King movie, if you like him you'll like this, being someone that doesn't like him I didn't like it. It was just too, for lack of a better phrase, Stephen King-y. Most of his stories were made into movies between the seventies and eighties, and it shows, none of them have aged well in any way whatsoever, as a result the way the kills and blood are handled looks really dated and the script's super cheese ball. Not my cup of tea, if I had known this was a Stephen King movie I wouldn't have bothered.

Classic creepy. While watching it remind yourself the time period it was made, as it may seem cheesy and the effects are old school. But an alright film. I love the opening slaughter! and there was no need for remakes of this film, especially 6 of them!

The original is always the best. I never liked any of the remakes of sequels, they were just awful B- movies (and I'm a man that appreciates a good B movie). I have to admit thou, this movie put the fear of gingers into me. :D 9/10

A brilliant classic! I love Stephen King and he really knows his stuff. I think this is pretty damn good for the 80's, but really who doesn't love a good 80's horror? it actually did creep me out, and I don't think I will at corn the same ever again. Totally a must-see.
