OMG I forgot all about this movie. How dare I grow up in the 80's and have a love of David Bowie and not remember this! This is not a typical vampire movie but it still is a classic! 5/5.

Gracefully erotic Scott movie, great soundtrack, minimal dialogue, elaborate art direction, with phenomenal makeup. Vague and confusing though the storyline may be it really is about sitting back and enjoying the visual feast that unfolds with every scene. Definitely worth seeing.

great movie; bowie, sarandan, catherine....great mix of essences....book was a little different, but books give u more time to digest and they use words that make it easier to "see" the whole scene in your head, like facial expressions and the weather, which can be easily missed when watching a movie, even if they are important part of the story line, or "vibe" of the scene. good watch. end did have a few unanswered questions, but this allows the views to put the pieces together and maybe find a conclusion that could be possible in a world with vampires connected to a bloodline or possible a spiritual/supernatural line from past Egyptian times. However, i will say one thing that kept bugging me and it looked so unnatural, the way sarrandon kept running her hands through her hair. she couldnt make it look natural in my eyes.

Very atmospheric and sensual with a good cast but there are flaws and the ending left unanswered questions in my mind. 6/10.

Even just the opening scenes of this movie will blow you away. The club scene is hot, and then gets interrupted several times by Peter Murphy singing Bela Legosi's Dead in a cage all shrouded in blue smoke, which is even more hot. They pulled out all the stops on this one from beginning to end with a great soundtrack, great script. This movie is one of the best vampire movies of all time. Incredibly sensual roles played by David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve. A lot of the new vampire movies coming out are so mediocre. Watch this one instead!!!

Not a bad movie. I can dig it more than the pre-teen vampire nonsense that's around now. Plus a great cast- Defoe, Sarandon and Bowie. 3/5

I watched this film when I heard that David Bowie was in it and then as things progressed and he was not seen as much I lost interest but still watched it till the end. Some scenes were just beautiful but I have a so many questions that are left unanswered. 6/10

I saw in 80's when it was kinda interesting . But I didn't know she was suppose to be a Egyptian Vampire with blonde hair and blue eyes. I had always thought she was an alien .

The film began well, but I felt all of Catherine Deneuve's parts were overdramatised, causeing the remaining film to become overdramatised - the echoed speech, running in slow motion and so on started to grate on me after a while. After David Bowie left the scene, I basically lost interest. There were tense moments, but it was far too drawn out. Sorry folks. Yes, better than Twilight and all that rubbish, but not fantastic. "We Are The Night" wins, hands down.

I remember when I saw this in a movie theater aaages ago. Now I find it very 80's, but a 'must-see' to vampire & horror movie lovers. The end is glorious.
