I love these movies, its funny though as a child this movie scared the living daylight out of me, now I think it is kinda funny. But still a good classic never dies. 10/10. The remake to this I absolutely hated how they mangeled the story, it was a good movie, but nowhere as good as this one. Robert Englund is Freddy Krueger

I always loved the Nightmare on Elm Street movies...Freddy for me is the best...I know many will argue that fact when it comes to Mike Meyers or Jason but for me personally...Freddy is the best of the 3...again, thats MY PERSONAL OPINION..For all N.O.E.S. movies total..I would have to say 5/5

A true classic that should not have been remade

the original puts the re-make/re-imagining to shame. Some how the fact of him being a child murder (1984) to a child molester (2010) just works better. I mean part of the charm of the old Freddie movies was that we were kinda rooting for freddie but who wants to root for a child molester??? that's just... that's just wrong.

The vidzi.tv and thevideo.me links are both HQ but have slightly out-of-sync audio tracks. Promptfile's audio is fine but slightly lower quality but still good.

OK Loved the blood scenes , they were great and the killing too. But that stuff with mom in the bed and the disappearing was lame ( in my opinion ). By the way great song about him. Strange ending but still glad i saw it . It's classic. 3.5/5

Classic, my absolute favorite horror movie. The story is so brilliant because as a kid it did give me nightmares and I really thought I was going to die. No lie that I had one of those dreams where you're stabbed, wake up and actually feel like it's happened with no physical signs. Thank you Wes Craven for creating a character so scary that he can literally mess with my mind while I sleep.

The creepiest thing about Freddy Krueger that he is a Nightmare; he is not alive - he's dead. He cannot harm you while you are awake - but everyone has to fall asleep sometime. People often have nightmares and sometimes hurt themselves if they flail around to much. Now imagination a nightmare itself causing harm to you - even death. That nightmare is Fred Krueger! A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) is a pretty scary film, a little bit on the campy side at times, but overall a good entertaining movie. The best time to watch A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) is late night just before you fall asleep. Sweet Dreams! 9/10
