Romeo and Juliet: Shakespeare's classic tale of romance and tragedy. Two families of Verona, the Montagues and the Capulets, have been feuding with each other for years. Young Romeo Montague goes out with his friends to make trouble at a party the Capulets are hosting, but while there he spies the Capulet's daughter Juliet, and falls hopelessly in love with her. She returns his affections, but they both know that their families will never allow them to follow their hearts.

Very good version of Romeo and Juliet. Acting was great. There were some boring parts, but this is definetly worth seeing. Classic movie.

I really liked this. Compared to the 1996 version with Leo DiCaprio is was a lot slower, and had less action, but was still a lot better. I'd say this is probably one of the best versions. Had good acting. This is totally a classic, and definitely a must see!

First saw this in my English class as a freshman in HS and enjoyed it. A guy can watch this kinda movie, can't he? Haha The DiCaprio one sucks like hell...also saw that in class. I'm gonna watch it again, but I hope it won't be that I only liked it cuz I was in class. Which has been the case many times. I like the book, too...so I'm certain I'll like this still.

Absolute best version. My cousin and sister talk about the 1996 version and I just look at them like "What, did you read the abridged version of the story too?" 1,000/10 I just bought the dvd

I remember watching this in high school for english class. It was a classic then and still is today. The best way to learn Shakespearian classics is to watch them because reading them will make you crazy. :)
