A movie made by a millionaire, starring millionaires, about a millionaire who refuses to pay millions. Perhaps another millionaire will award the film with a golden statue.

It's a shame Spacey got axed but Wahlberg stayed (acting merit, nothing else). Something tells me the movie would be better with him. I wish they would stop pulling great actors for PC reasons. Gibson hates Jews so much he make a great hate film about it, Spacey used to like 16-17 yr old boys (but did respect the no). Don't care they can act, let them make movies.

Spacey would have been great, but Christopher Plummer is the only one I can see in this role now. He is like a fine wine, better with age. Michelle Williams reminded me so much of Natalie wood in the first few scenes of the movie. Truly fascinating true story, that Hollywood embellished of course. Only can real life be so crazy. Top notch cast, and not bored for a minute.

What a woman!!! That's a Mama Bear if ever there was one. Chilling story. A glimpse into what a workaholic can accumulate when nothing else matters. This is ambition and greed as a severe form of mental illness and how that specific kind of addiction puts those around the addict in danger. Plummer played the addict well. Michelle Williams' performance was even better. This film will hold your attention, start to finish. 5/5 ETA: some violence and one harrowing gory scene but it's over in 3 minutes

I enjoyed it enough, Christopher Plummer was excellent, I kind of couldn't careless about the kidnapped girl...well thy keep calling her Paul and use son so guess it's a teenage boy.....lol I enjoyed it for the story but expected it to be better.

One thing I have decided while watching this; Getty was 100 percent correct in not paying that ransom. Because most of the time when the ransom is paid easily, the hostage dies. Look at Lindberg baby. Its not such a bad copy. No Kevin Spacey is proably better anyhow. I really like dMark Wahlberg, and honestly now thta I know a 40 yr old Spacey molested a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD makes me see him differently, even in film. And besides starting to hate the mother, I found the story very interesting. And millionaires? Millionaires today are basically people who are too poor to retire, unless their money is invested to the hilt at 10 percent, and most don't know how to do that. You take half a million, and get 3 percent interest, and what is that? Its not even going to even pay rent in a hovel. Its literally a couple thousand.
