Street Outlaws: Memphis: In Memphis, it's all for one and one for all, and no one illustrates that sentiment better than JJ Da Boss and his "Team Memphis" crew. Along with his wife Tricia, who is known on the streets as "Midget," and his cousin Precious, also known as the "Queen of the Streets," fast-talking JJ welcomes viewers into his world where racing is all about pride and honor. Team Memphis has few rules, and its members often put their lives on the line for the hustle of the race. They are "trying to beat ya, not cheat ya," and are available whenever a challenger emerges.

I'm glad they did this spin-off for a few reasons. Yes, i like street racing and i like cars and the modifying of said cars. But, mainly...well, seeing JJ on Street Outlaws Oki Doke i actually thought he was a bit of a nominee of the "Richard Cranium Award", but i did understand we were seeing a persona that was editted by the production company. But, you know what, he now appears to actually be a really nice guy (or "Top Bloke" as would be said around these here parts) with a heart of gold. He also has a personality and character that comes across as very watchable. ie. not the performances on Nola that were so wooden, if you scritched them you would get splinters. But, no, JJ da Boss has quite a natural TV persona and doesnt come across like he...is...rea...ding...an...autocue...and...can't...quite...make...out...the..........words. He is very fluent without losing any of his accent or cadence. I also like how they don't have a list or league. For team events this comes in very handy because everyone is looking out for everyone and there isn't that competition with each other. On the other hand they dont have the same drive to upgrade, upgrade, rebuild that list racers have on a weekly basis. Also i like how OG everything is. Water burnouts and asphalt roads are things i can totally relate with. We have very few concrete roads here in the UK. Not that you could get away with racing on anyway. I've been racing on the street since 1983, i had to wait a couple of extra years for the track as i wasnt strictly old enough to get a track licence. And apart from 3 cars in that time, everything else i raced was totally legal, apart from the exhausts being on the loud side. It is a case of jump in the car, drive a hundred or so miles, swap the back wheels for a set with slicks, add a little octane booster, then race the weekend away and then, hopefully, drive back home and use the same car for getting the groceries, taking the kids to school and travelling to and from work...now THATS a STREET CAR! But, yes, i like this one, it is watchable without cringing at the dudes (and dudettes) struggling with their lines. Street Outlaws Memphis is definitely worth ihe investment in time

Oh lord they actually gave shady JJ the Boss his own version of the show! He’s definitely a fun off the wall character! His shady off the wall bait and switch antics will definitely bring a lot good street drama as well as a lot of crashes!
