I'm guessing this is a trilogy? Shin Godzilla, followed by the sequels, Knee Godzilla and Thigh Godzilla. If that's correct, this series hasn't got a leg to stand on...

A nice little documentary about Donald Trump and the GOP's ineptitude and inability to rein that monster in.

I liked this. It went back to basics with a decent story.

Now that is Godzilla! Great movie with no hint of Hollywood. Felt the English dialogue gave a real feel of an animation movie. 5/5

8/10💕 I love Godzilla movies. This is a very good one. It is dubbed in English which is a big plus for me. The monster has a funny looking eye. What happened to the end of his tail?

Surprisingly good. Looked very realistic in a way how they would deal with something like that if it ever happened. The politics was interesting, a breath of fresh air from the usual Hollywood Brawn. The SFX were good actually..except for Godjira. In the beginning it looked pretty humorous with its eyes. I thought it was some kind of giant inflatable doll or something. Later things got better. If they had done an exceptional job with SFX, I would qualify this movie the best Godjira depiction so far...but given the budget and the studios that made it, it is a better effort that tries to be innovative and close to the source material.

I found this movie just OK. What i find most interesting is the anti-government sentiment in which the director or writers expresses in the film with all thew red tape involved to be able to make a life or death decision. Japan has come a long way since the Emperor's day post WWII politically, otherwise this movie would have never come to age.

It has some good parts to it like the mutating Gojira and it's always good to see practical effects being used again, but at the same time the quality was really lacking. In a way this almost seemed more like a parody than a serious Godzilla movie, and there were definitely some major plot holes. Overall it's not bad, but not the best in the Godzilla line either. Worth a one time watch, but not much more than that.

Actors that have a constant state of dread on their face regardless of circumstances.....check. Sets that still look like they borrowed the neighbors train set and diorama (omfg...still with the horrible sets, no excuse)........check. A godzilla monster that is mechanical and stiff with lifeless eyes and still hasn't come around to full CGI, lmao still!!.......check. Story and script on par with every other crappy 50's movie.........check. The stupid shin crapzilla is no longer a man in suit, but a motion-captured actor enhanced with CGI and they must have got their tech from and old Radio Shack. The only saving grace is that this version shows less crapzilla on screen that the other films. Toho certainly started something really awesome but they just can't take it anywhere worthwhile. Godzilla should stay in the west where real film studios do it right.

Curious; I saw this on here months ago and watched it, and commented with several other people (it is a great film!) yet this only has the comments from today - possibly because this is the dubbed version, but then the original language version must have been deleted. Curious; however, must say again, this is well worth watching and the effects are very good indeed
