There are films that want to tell stories. And there are films that just want to be films. Oh my god, this screams "I AM A FILM - look at my wonderful cinematography & see how I soft-focus faces & hands & distant staring"....

This movie cured my insomnia, at least for one night.

This movie could be considered a milestone, but will not, at least not by this generation. It's a brilliant analysis on how we could lead towards a stoic society, it's the opposite prespective of Idiocracy. It's possible to relate it with the Aldous Huxley work (Brave New World or Island, for instance), but it has a shakesperian plot (you'll notice when you watch it). Yes, it has a slow pace, but for me it was captivating, made me reflect on how some aspects of that society are oddly attractive, such as the stability, the quiet, the order, the functionalism of things, the being taking care by a state that provides. And then the price of it all...

I am surprised at the negativity. I love movies, television and Films, some more than others but this by any standards was not a bad Film. I am willing to wager the haters liked Divergent. hahaha. I of course did not enjoy that one so it all depends on taste, thankfully that is why they make Menus. cheers!

This was an interesting, albeit slow moving film. There is not a lot of action and I really wonder how much was edited out of the footage. It left me with a lot of questions. However, if you're in the market for a slow and purposeful moving film, that has a subtle, yet slap in the face quality to it (a dichotomy for certain) then give it a watch. It certainly isn't bad by any means and well filmed. Cheers. (Thanks uploaders!)

I liked this flick. The role was best suited for Stewart, if you know what I mean. She redeemed herself. For a minute there I thought the story was gonna be a different interpretation of Romeo and Juliet and it comes so close to being one.

slow to establish characterization and setting. this is surely intentional but i still felt the narrative suffered a bit for it. even once it gets going everything remains comparatively muted. could have benefited from a little more exploration of their societal mechanics. more than a little reminiscent of 1984, minus almost the entirety of the politics. 6/10

Two good actors, one terrible script, poor direction, and voila...Equals. Such a terrible movie. I hate to be negative, and try hard not to be, but this was the worst film either of these two top young actors have done. Very disappointing.

Slow but not bad if it weren't for the recognizable actors I would probably pass this one up. Scary some cult are practicing this non-emotional behavior turning humans to androids. OMG I have SOS!

It has to be your kind of movie. Nothing too big but enjoyable. Reminded me of the host and delirium.

Not that bad of a movie, good for a 1 time watch if you can stay afloat of what the story is. 6/10

I f it wasn't for Nicholas Hoult I would not have watched this film, Stewart seems liked she is always playing the same role, the film had a great picture and cast but fail short.

....a guy who is infected by emotions treated as some contagious diseases, which had never happened before, same old robotic existence, day in day out and love is a crime...give me a break!!....poor story,an idiotic vision of the future....Stewart should be more careful in choosing roles I guess..5/10.

Super slow, boring movie. Halfway into it, and I started falling asleep. The story is mostly centered around this guy who is dealing with emotions like it was a disease. Kristen Stewart only plays a small part in the movie.

It was better when it was called Equilibrium and starred Christian Bale and Taye Diggs. Not, wait, it was just as bad but at least it spared us the cliché love story and the pretentiousness.
