This is exactly what the fans wanted, reminded me so much of the first trilogy. I loved how all the new and old characters mixed together well. Not much complaints besides the mystery of the sudden character development of Rey, but sure that will be explained the next episode. They did overhype the movie making me think it wouldn't be as good, but it's looking to be better than the last 3 movies.

This film reminded me why I fell in love with Star Wars as a child; I thought the new character additions were good actors and I loved seeing all the old faces again after all these years. It was beautiful and powerful cinematography. I laughed, I shed a few tears, I held my breath and was amazed at how much more real the violence in this installment felt. Much more like real war, where blasters can actually kill you and the destruction of entire planets is truly devastating. The Stormtroopers never looked so much like Nazis and the dark side is as menacing as ever. For me JJ Abrams did the franchise a great deal of justice with this movie and I'm very excited to see what the future holds for 2017 and 2019.

5/5 Fantastic Star Wars movie. The Han and Chewie moments were classic, as always. I liked all of the new characters, especially Kylo Ren and BB-8. The two Kylo 'tantrum' scenes are brilliant, lol. Adam Driver was great, mask or no mask. I'm glad he was chosen for that part. This is going to be an awesome new trilogy. Thank you, JJ!

I Loved this movie, its taking the star wars series back to its original Space Adventure that the first 3 movies were and away from the political space drama prequels were 10/10

Go to the theater and see it in 3D. That is where this film really delivers visually. Regular viewing is good but 3D has the ships flying over your shoulders. I know 3D makes everything you see have more depth and dimension but Abrams makes you feel like you are there with his cinematography. I hate paying a fortune to go to the theater to see things which is why I love this site but I would recommend that you see it that way at least once.

honestly one of the best movies i have seen. i saw it in theaters on opening night and was blown away. i went in with the highest expectations and it delivered! amazing action and acting, surprisingly funny and emotional. i am in love with these new characters and old ones alike. perfect casting on all parts. such a well done movie loved the practical effects. it has some similar themes as episode 4 but we all love the original trilogy so even better. i dont understand any of the hate towards this movie, the script was amazing it took a deep dive into our villain so he wasnt just a faceless mask doing evil stuff. we get real acting and feeling in this movie. rey is super badass and i cant wait till May of 2017 to watch episode 8. do yourself a favor and watch this movie immediately. 10/10

It's a great continuation of the Star Wars trilogy, especially after the pure awful the prequels devolved into. There are obvious parallels to the original film which are intentional (it's a plot device to help reconnect the audience to the original characters and their timeline). After the prequels, I didnt think I could ever like Star Wars as much as I did as a child, but I'm glad to be proven wrong.

The hate is strong, very strong, in this newest comments section. Let the hate flow through you lmao! Ya'll complain too much. This is a good sci-fi movie, it's very well made. Abrams did a great job making it just as he did with the Star Trek movies. He brought back the original, authentic feel, which is something Lucas screwed up on with his prequels. Thankfully, Lucas sold the rights and passed on making more SW movies. His prequels were awful. Bits and pieces of those movies were good, but overall poorly made, silly movies. He directed all 3 and he's not a good director! And the guy that played Anakin? He was horrible, the guy that's playing Kylo Ren, he's a good actor and he was good in this. Kind of emo but that's how Kylo is supposed to be, he's still young and immature and he's had Snoke messing with his head since he was a kid. In episode 8, Kylo Ren will be a lot angrier and that will make him more powerful and bad ass. Plus the Jedi master Luuuuuke will be in the mix and Snoke will be too. I'm already excited to see it! I rate this one a 4/5. The best SW movie since 1983. Thank you linkers :)

This is one movie you definitely need to go see in 3D at an IMAX Theater to get the full visual effects! On that note, I really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing the next part of this saga!

Back during the second trilogy, people who were familiar with the original trilogy were put off by the heavy use of CGI. The original star wars trilogy didn't have computers, so live action sequences and models were used. In many ways the second trilogy was like a brand new set of movies that lost touch with the original construct. It is obvious that this one is bringing it back to it's roots. This one is a mixture of nostalgia and new, and I think they did a wonderful job.

FINALLY! A Star wars made the way it should be! (had all but lost hope with the prequels and wondered if that magic could ever be found again!) This is an EPIC Star Wars film! (and not to be confused with other types of film, i.e. Star Trek is made a certain way that sets it aside other films and like Star Wars does! It's in a class of its own!) WATCH THIS FILM! IT IS STAR WARS BRILLIANCE!

Saw this in theaters, I thought it was incredible. Deep with all the root themes that made the old ones so good. The soundscore was intense and bone-chilling. The tension was thick enough to cut through the air. The story was bad ass with the same vintage sci fi style brought back from the first film. The lead performances by most were breath-taking for me. The combat and lightsaber scenes were something to marvel at. and the character development had my emotions gripped. An epic movie hands down in my experience. The film was well polished with oldschool set pieces and the computer animated effects I thought were great. I had my expectations surprisingly blown. I loved everything about it. Easily one of my top favorite Star Wars films along side the original trilogy. 5/5

I'll just make it short and simple: I liked it. I had fun and enjoyed myself. People will find issues with it and that's fine. Nothing really bothered me and I will be looking forward to being able to see it again.

I really enjoyed this movie for what it was. I had problems with pacing of the reveals and that Han and Leia didn't do their ''I love you'' ''I know'' banter when the opportunity came for it, but it felt like that old Star Wars magic. The Poe and Finn scenes are so good, I can't wait to see more of them fighting the First Order together! I don't get the whole ''I don't want a female lead!'' or ''A BLACK GUY?! WTF?!'' complaints because it's not the 1950s and not every hero has to be the same. I'm honestly just happy this was fun like Eps 4-6 and not a boring mash of toy commercials like Eps 1-3. Enjoy it, let the new generation of kids have their heroes and be glad we have 3 epic original trilogy movies that already did all the things that everyone is complaining aren't exactly the same in this one. This was fun and a movie that gives the next generation the same magic the original trilogy had, only now girls have more than Leia to look up to with Rey's introduction; black kids have more than just Lando and Mace Windu with the introduction of Finn; and hispanics finally have Poe Dameron! That's awesome! White people still have Luke, Han, Obi-Wan, etc. Everyone gets representation in a galaxy far far away! I can't wait for prominent Asian and Indian characters! Nothing is broken. The Star Wars family just got bigger. That's all. It's a good thing. EDIT: So much hate on here... The Dark Side is taking over the Comments section.

Saw it in theaters when it came out and was blown away. The action was intense and the plot twist at the end was epic. 10/10.

If you say you love Star Wars, shouldn't you actually LOVE it, instead of picking the new movie apart piece by piece? Fans and fanboys are completely different, in that fanboys aren't actual fans, in my opinion. If you can not enjoy a new installment of what you claim is your favorite movie series of all time, then you are NOT a fan of Star Wars! Simple as that. Same goes for a band. If you say someone is your favorite band, but there are certain songs on their album you don't like, you are not a fan of that band, you are a fan of a few of their songs. If you hate the prequels and the new movie, you are not a Star Wars fan, you just like the original trilogy a lot. Nothing more. So fuck you fanboys. Shut your mouth and enjoy the show!
