Fantastic acting, fantastic production. Great plots, ruthless characters, brutal sense of humor. Kevin Spacey & team just rocks.

Can't believe they cancelled this show. Looks like Netflix is the place for a series to go and never be finished. They are worse than Fox and the Scifi genre. I'm far more offended at how Netflix treats its viewers with cancellations than I would be if Kevin Spacey was at the other booth every time I went to the restaurant and he wouldn't stop licking my ears and twirling curls in my hair saying In Gafne the lil flowers like you always get picked first. So not upset with Spacey in the least. But a huge fuck you to Netflix for always cliffhanging and slitting throats. How about an ending? Those might be nice to have one day.

Netflix, I would like to thank you, for giving us an opportunity to be a part of such a golden era. House Of Cards is not only one of the best on screen creations of all time, it is also a significant mark in our culture and a fantastic roll model for the future of Television. The writing above all, of course, is the most admirable aspect of this show, it's the writing that's keeping us glued to the screen with superb story telling and ground shaking twists. Other than that, I don't think there was ever a greater power couple than the Underwood's. Another fantastic season! Don't take too long to finish it, it is custom made for no more than 2-3 binges. 10/10

...then again, what will come our way when fiction is surpassed by real events and horrid people are pretending to govern us...??....still hooked on this series but also succumbing to lurid daily news, thinking maybe I am dreaming...

I put off watching this because I loved the UK original so much that I didn't know if this could measure up but I finally gave it a try, mainly because I like Kevin Spacey and have just binge watched all five seasons within a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well scripted, great cast and although I'd have to say that I still think the original was spectacular, I couldn't really fault this US version. I think you can appreciate the merits of both and if you have watched the UK original and not this one, give it a try and vice versa. I must warn that seasons four and five do go more into the realm of fiction, but I have to wonder if the unusual real political climate could have forced the writing to go in that direction so as not to appear too much like current events. In any event, if you like sheer political bastardry and intrigue, these are the shows for you! I loved them.

Season 6 was gonna be the last season regardless of the allegations. But now production on season 6 is on hold, not officially cancelled yet.

I wasn't impressed by season 4. The earlier seasons were a roller coaster of a ride full of emotion and awesome monologues but it seems like they thought all the speeches would captivate us like they did so many times in earlier seasons. The writing just seemed below par of the other season so maybe it made all the other things stand out more as "shock value" stuff to keep us intrigued. And while I understand the need to establish a new web of deceit and backstabbing from worthy adversaries it just seems to me like this whole season was a trailer to what's going to happen next season

Loved the new season. I think it is the feminist in me, but I loved seeing more of the women fighting for the power they want. Her mother is just brilliant.

great show..this unlike so many other shows manages to make politics interesting without trying to tie in real life politics. It is fairly unrealistic but still keeps you watching because they aren't pushing agendas but instead creating entertainment.

All I can add is this: If you have denied yourself the delicious pleasure of a masterful adult soap opera, shame, shame. (I'm still kicking myself for not watching this sooner.)

Season 5 lost the showrunner from the initial 4 seasons, Beau Willimon and it shows. It was so convenient to have a certain character, go out of character, just so Francis can gain the upperhand. What was built up in season 4 as a worthy opponent, to lose his cool, just like that, ruined...just cause. Disappointing.
