I love Reign! This is my favorite new show of the season, on any channel. So what if it is soapy and not at all historically accurate? I am a 34 year old mother, who is college educated. I usually watch shows like The Tudors, The White Queen, The Walking Dead, and American Horror story. But I love this show. Something about it is so addictive to me. I love every one of the actors and actresses. I love the mixture of romance, supernatural, and history. I think Bash and Francis are yummy!!! So what if Francis was all but an invalid in real life and Bash never existed. They exist on Thursday nights on the CW. And that is alright by me. My only hope is that the CW is not the wrong channel for this show. A lot of the CW's viewers tend to be younger. My little sister would not watch this. She despises anything "educational" and "slow". She comes from a generation used to the frantic speed of Vines on YouTube. Even the offer of hot actors didn't lure her in. She watched 5 minutes and gave up. I hope viewers like her do not get Reign cancelled. I long to see another season. I long to see the Queen scheme, Francis and Mary marry, Bash fall from grace, and Francis die. So what if this show is not accurate? So what if it's cheesy? So what if I feel a little like a 13 year old girl again when I watch it? After a week of raising children, working, and cleaning, I am in. I need a little bit of Reign every Thursday night. Lets just hope there are others like me out there, so this show can be saved. I pray God grants Reign a second season. If I could save one show a season, hell, even a year, this would be it.

So glad Reign was renewed early as I'm totally invested in this series. I would've been gutted were it cancelled.

I like watching this, in fact I'm hooked, but knowing the history of Mary Stuart is a bit of a downer. I think you would be better of not knowing the real history when watching this show so I suggest people don't google her. However I am up to s1 e 20 and so far it has proven to be rather historically inaccurate so I hope they actually go off on a completing different tangent to the real story of Mary but we'll see. If your looking for a drama filled contemporary version of Mary Queen of Scot's life then go right ahead and watch this you wont be disappointed. However if you after a more historically correct and interesting story then I suggest watching the move 'Elizabeth'(1998) and 'Elizabeth the golden age' (2007) both with Cate Blanchett. If you like this you will also like 'The other Boleyn Girl' (2008) and 'The White Queen' (2013) Either way enjoy! :)

I love how this series doesn't even try to be historically correct in the slightest! :D Bandeau dresses, peeptoe high heels, heavy eye make-up... I could go on and on, but it's absolutely fun to watch. Watch it as a teen soap set in the 16th century.

The show's turning out to be pretty good. My only grievance with it is the soundtrack. Could we not play modern pop music on a show set in 15th century France please?

All I see is bitching its historical fiction its not suppose to be accurate or do you need me to break it down for you as your minds can't seem to comprehend that and your just picking at something that was made for enjoyment oh my god just shut up and enjoy the show.

I literally stumbled upon this series when I was finished Game Of Thrones and wanted to find something that captured me like GOT did. After reading the comments i jumped right in and to this day im so happy that I did. I am completely in love with Reign and I cant get enough. I only discovered it about 2 months ago and Id watched the 2 seasons in about a week, it was that good! Im finding it really difficult to have to wait every week for a new episode :'( Theres a lot being mentioned in the comments about the show not being historically correct....who cares?! Its more unpredictable and intense this way. The fashion is AMAZING! Mary never fails to look beautiful and the acting is superb. I wouldnt normally take the time to leave a comment on things but I feel this deserves proper recognition for how great it really is (also im terrified that if it doesnt get a big fanbase it might be cancelled). 12/10. ;)

This is a show that I shouldn't like but totally love. It's not historically accurate at all, but it doesn't matter. It's The Tudors meets A Knight's Tale, and the combination is surprisingly fun and intriguing.

I got into this show after watching Game of Thrones last week for the first time. I got all caught up with GOT in 3 days and yearned for more. I looked for similar shows and decided to give this one a try. Now I am completely in love with this and Francis!!

I love anything about history, which is why I wanted to check out this show. Though it isn't historically correct, it is enjoyable. I am hooked, and have watched all the episodes. It is a mixture of romance, drama, mystery and intrigue, there's even some sword fighting. A great show for young adults or romantics.

this show is pure bull..... not one scottish person in it! im from scotland and currently studying history and us scots know that mary queen if scots has a scottish accent. tbh some scots find this offensive they really do need to look more into history before they even make a show about mary queen of scots!

I do get your point (Not historically accurate), but if you hadn't noticed this tv show is called reign not Mary Queen of Scots or anything even remotely similar. It's meant to be a series roughly based on that era with a focus audience being the teenagers and young adults of today, and anyway it's a CW tv show... do you know of a single show they've produced which is at all in line with the real world (e.g. Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl? I think not. This is just my view on this tv show which I coincidentally love after only a single episode. :)

Fun fact: the actual Mary Queen of Scots was renowned for her beauty and intelligence, by her own contemporaries. She was super-tall for a woman of her time, too: 5'11 was her height. Surprised they chose a brunette actress to play her ... she was a redhead irl. Oh and I think I read somewhere that the actual Francis was sickly and a hunchback. But yeah they were good friends before and after being married. :)

I think that the 14th episode "Dirty Laundry" won't be posted online until after 1am (in 20 min from now) because of the time change that happened just last weekend. I can't wait to see what happens next!!! I just love this show!!! It has become my new obsession :) :)
