Let's face it, James Spader is pretty much single handedly saving this show. I think I'd watch him read the back of a cereal box.

James Spader has to be absolutely one of the best of the best actors on US television.Every show or movie he has done has been exceptional,he makes this series.

When this show first started I thought it was a good show at best and I was not a fan of Spader at all however, since that very first episode I find myself waiting for the next to show. I would recommend anyone to give this show a chance and I think you will agree that this may be one of the best on tv at this time. James Spader brings something to the show that no other person could, whether you see him as a villain a hero or a little of both

for a 'villain of the week' type show with only glimpses of over-arching plot lines, this is without question among the best produced (ESPECIALLY currently). In the last few episodes ,starting around episode 9, the series has really hit its stride. Spader is by no means over-hyped in this role. he IS absolutely fantastic, and makes a role that would normally require a hell of a lot of suspension of disbelief- into a completely believable, chilling antihero. an added bonus i have been noticing over the last couple episodes is the inclusion of a fantastic and smartly placed soundtrack. johnny cash/gordon lightfoot, etc.. have to love great songs being played during intense moments of brutality. 9/10...only deduction is i wish they would give more focus to their 'long game' plotlines.

This show is quite honestly one of the top 10 shows ever created in my opinion. I'm enthralled in it each and every week. I just love the mystery and twist every week. Each week something makes you go DAMM! If Spader does not win an Emmy for this character, it will be a travesty. His best work yet in my opinion...

James Spader is great in this, didn't much care for some of his movies, but I thought he was great in Boston Legal, so was Shatner oddly enough. One of the things I like best about this show is the 22 episode seasons. That's what I grew up with and what I'm used to. Too many shows have short seasons (10 epis or less) or they break them up with months between half seasons. Drives me nuts. God I sound so freakin old.

The person bellow is completely wrong. James Spader has been in the business longer than most if not all of the rest of the cast. Hello... '80's movies!!!!!! If you think I'm wrong, look it up. James Spader IS the show. Without him, the show would have not made it past the first season. Some of the other actors do a good job, but without his humor, sarcasm and sheer wit, the show would not be what it is.

Like others have said before, this show is interesting and has potential. This is largely due to the character played very well by James Spader. BUT...the weakness of this show lies in the female lead. I feel she is not credible in the role she attempts to depict. Alas, like in many other US TV shows, there is an emphasis on casting very attractive people at the expense of acting talent. For what its worth I would've put Emmy Rossum (Fiona in Shameless U.S.) as the lead female. She has gravitas and can portray the angst required for the role.

Came to the party a bit late, but I'm LOVING Red. He IS the show. I've been describing him to people: "He's Hannibal Lecter without the cannibalism... that we know of." (more of the Anthony Hopkins version) He's self-assured, well-read, well-travelled, nothing phases him, he's not someone to be trifled with. Actually, I wouldn't doubt he and Lecter have shared a few meals and even exchange recipes.

just watched pilot; I'm sold. Spader does the mastermind manipulator so damn well; liked his work since the Practice.

James Spader delivers on the promise of a character who keeps us unsettled and intrigued as to his next move and motivation. A very enjoyable series.

The creator of the series The Blacklist Jon Bokenkamp does not plan to finish his work in the near future. Even last year, he said that NBC’s representatives have approved the financing for a new episodes, and have renewed the project for Season 4, so on September 22, 2016 (exact date) show will return to television broadcasting. This rapid renewal was approved by all fans of the show, but the reaction of critics was mixed. Of course, the TV series The Blacklist is quite successful and it deserves the fourth season, so we support the decision of the NBC and wish for Jon Bokenkamp further success in his work. We note only the fact that there is a slight decreasing of the rating of the series already in the third season and the number of fans for the first time dropped below 6 million people. The Blacklist season 4 start date – [September 22, 2016] (10 pm)

Season three is absolutely insane so far. Astounding work by the wide majority of the cast. Most of them have come a significant way since the beginning of this show.

James Spader is the only thing separating this show from dross like the new Hawaii Five O , NCIS etc etc. The story lines really test one's ability to suspend logic . Diego Klattenhoff is at best a cardboard cliché of every strong silent type you've ever seen. And as for Megan Boone ... dear god she's woeful. I suspect if someone shaved her eyebrows off she wouldn't be able to carry on as she'd be deprived of her one facial expression, that of the puzzled puppy trying to figure out where the ball has gone. Having said all that, it is worth the bad acting and dodgy story lines just to spend 40 mins a week with the wonderful Mr Spader.

Honestly this show would be perfect if they had chosen a different female for the lead. If it werent for James Spader her wig and one expression would have run me off already.

WOW WOW!! this show is amazing I am totally hooked, everybody's acting is great except for Magen Boone, imo is the weakest of them all most of the time with an expressionless face except may be for the last couple of episodes. Most of all James Spader is amazing as always I just love the guy...he is a genius he did make this show a success.
